Odd question, does anyone here buy frozen Egg Rolls? If, so where do you buy them and what brand?

We stopped ordering Chinese Take-Out years ago, between the prices and that our local restaurant now only accepts cash for delivery we stopped ordering. We make our own Chinese now but Mom misses having Wonton Soup and an Egg Roll. The Wonton Soup I am going to try to make but thinking if I can find some nice frozen Egg Rolls that would be great, I know we can make them and maybe will one day but for now I am looking for a cheat.

I buy the President’s Choice ones. Also I think k costco has some... not 100% about that.. air fryer is the best Way for cooking them. Personally

Good morning!! I need to get motivated to move and get my house clean. It is way way more messy then I like.

I may, start taking down Christmas today. Maybe.

I definitely need to get a good walk in today, I've slacked on my exersise and just do better when I do it..

Definitely keeping goals in the back of my head.
I want to get my air miles restarted. Start earning on that.

Good Morning and I hope everyone is having a nice holiday.

Today is a nothing planned day. We have so many leftovers in the fridge (thanks to my sister sending us home with so much food) that there will be no cooking today either! (well just made eggs and toast for breakfast

This morning I popped out to RCSS (spent $4.32 on 6 rolls of Xmas wrap for the bin for next year) and went to 2 SDM's. Bought nothing at the 1st one.
At the 2nd one I bought 5 gift packs for me! 2 x Aveeno (shampoo/conditioner/body wash) 2 x Olay (Body wash/deodorant/bar of soap) and one Nivea (face cream x 2/ mineral water/face wipes and something else) and a can of nuts to get over $50 so I could redeem points ($56.74 was the total redeemed $50 in PC pts and paid $6.75 cash) Stocked up my HBA supplies!

Then I went and parked at the town dock and went for a nice walk. Was able to walk out on one dock and took a few pictures.
Came home and made breakfast and now I should try and get something done around the house. No pressure today but still want to be productive even though the rest of my family is having a lazy day which is totally allowed!

I snagged king size sheets off Amazon. Just over 40.00 taxes in. Delivery on Monday
I've been wanting a new set for a bit.

Got some new children's Christmas books off the buy nothing site.

And working on cleaning... using up supplies I won't rebuy.
And scanning any recipts into caddle/ recipt hog, and the other one I forget the name of. Lol.

Good afternoon all,

Started the day off slower than normal but we’ve been to the gym (45 strength and 30 min treadmill intervals), deep cleaned the shower in preparation for the new liner and rings, made lunch and kitchen is cleaned. Just have some towels to fold and put away. Dh is going to pull the fridge and stove out for me today since I didn’t do it earlier.

If the rain holds off we will go for a walk and maybe a nap

Good Morning Everyone,
Up early which makes me happy, I am trying my best to stay in my normal routine well I am off. I really want to focus on my morning routine, for me getting up early is the key having a productive day.

They finally picked up our garbage (it has been over 2 weeks) which makes me happy as I was looking at some project yesterday and thinking there will be garbage and where do I put it? The garbage area was overflowing and people were just leaving their garbage on the ground now. I know some stuff I guess I could leave in the basement but I want it out of my house but also some would need to go out. I want to reorganize our freezers and normally we have little food waste and I expect the same this time but there is usually 1 or 2 things I find that need to go and who wants defrosting garbage in their house.

Yesterday's dinner did not go to plan Mom didn't come down until almost 3 pm so we had "lunch" which then threw off dinner. Right now Mom's schedule is so off and we need to get it back on track as it is throwing off my schedule. I did make the Herby Lemon Chicken which I cooked off and is now in the fridge for bowls or wraps.

Tonight I am thinking maybe a pasta Dish, I could do French Onion Pasta Bake or Chicken Parm or in another direction I could make Balsamic Chicken with Mushrooms, hmmm options.

Yesterday I made a half batch of Pecan Pie Bark, oh my gosh so so good. It was funny Mom kept saying I am not sure, but when I brought it out she got it. Only thing is I think my pan was too small so the topping is a bit thick but now I know for next time.

Ok, I need to accomplish something this morning. I am working on trying to find balance of getting things done but also taking time for me which we all know is not my forte, I am an all or nothing type of girl and lack that middle ground but I am working on it.

Good morning.

I got a lot accomplished yesterday with Dh’s help. Both the fridge and stove were pulled out and cleaned around and behind including washing the floors. Actually they really weren’t bad but I fell better now that it’s done. Next is the pantry rack . I did manage to get some damp paper towels stuck in my vacuum hose so I have to take it in to have them blow it out. I’m not risking damaging the electrical cords inside

I have my last physio of 2024 this afternoon but otherwise not much planned. I’m still off until Tuesday so I’m just going to putter around and reorganize and tidy things up a bit. And hit up the gym later.

Microsoft Edge browser displays SC site just like I see it on a desktop despite using an Android platform tablet turned to landscape position. However certain store sites turn into compressed mobile screens when using Edge.
Can see Like button, as well discussion page numbers at top of screen.

Google Chrome displays SC more like a basic DOS version, where I cannot see Like button for posts and I have to rely on stodgy number tabs at bottom of screen to find certain discussions here.

Evening my daughter and Sebastian are staying til sat morning ,the whole house was crazy yesterday ,kids unwrapping wanting to do most everything -lol.They loved their gifts from us.

Today we took Sebastain to my sons house to see what the girls got for xmas we stayed a few hours .Then got home at 2.30 ,my ex son -in-law was coming to take Sebastian to the show -my daughter went to visit her cousin til 8 tonight.

So we get a small break .lol

I decided to head downstairs this morning and work on the pantry, I have no put anything away in months which would explain why I have no grocery bags.

It did not take me nearly as long as I thought it would. Although I do still need to deal with the Potatoes and Onions, that is a task for another day, maybe tomorrow.

Since it was still early and I had some ambition before I had time to think about it, I decide to defrost the stand up freezer. I started to regret this choice about way through reloading it. It was super quick to defrost, I love the hot water trick it only took about an hour and a half and it was BAD. Putting the bins back wasn't bad but the little stuff was driving me batty. There are some odds and ends we need to use like the Apple Cider, Buttermilk and a few other things.

Next I need to reorganize the Chest Freezer, this one annoys me. I need to find a better system for our frozen fruits and veggies because it never fails no matter what I am looking for, it is on the bottom. But that is a problem for another day.

I am hoping during shut down I will find some time to stock the freezer with homemade goods, I am thinking:
Dinner Rolls
Cinnamon Buns
Pizza Rolls
Stuffed Shells

I want to start making more from scratch again and not relying on quick fixes from the grocery store. There are always places for quick fixes but in the past week I have started to wonder why I stopped (let's be real, I know it was work) because I miss things like my homemade Dinner rolls or to be able to just pull a few cinnamon buns from the freezer would be amazing.

Think I will spend some time planning now, go on Pinterest see what I can find and work on my Bullet Journal.

Today DH is officially retired. So the next few months will be an adjustment for us. It will be a month or so before we start drawing from the investments so we will aim for an Uber frugal January, especially since we have a short vacation to Vegas planned in February. I always like the challenge of using what we have in the new year. So today was a total eat what’s in the fridge day and anything we did not eat was frozen for a future meal.
Tomorrow we are going to my moms for lunch. I am contributing the dinner rolls and the only gift is a gift card for the baby. Fingers crossed it’s an easy day for a drive.
