90 Day Fiance UK started last night on TLC, they showed 3 episodes which I PVR, perfect watching for a Saturday morning of writing training plans.

I was delighted by it and LOVED both his and Helen Mirren's angry rants.

In other tv watching news, I must confess knowing absolutely nothing about the game of Cricket.
Watching the Documentary on Freddie ( Andrew ) Flintoff was a true education about not only the sport ( the physicality of it )
but this show was to document Andrew's journey back from a devastating car crash he had on the tv series Top Gear in 2022.
The vehicle was an open top ( convertible 3 wheeler type ).
NOT for the squeamish as many medical procedures were filmed. What a very lucky man to have his wife, 4 kids and many friends
and team mates pulling for his recovery as he navigated his emotions. Reconstructive surgery was a challenge as he had been dragged
face DOWN along the road.

Has anyone taken the time to watch ( o.k. binge! ) an entire 2 season series to be stunned that the final episode was nowhere NEAR satisfying!!??
Not a new series, but new to me called Patriot. Stars a talented musician ( a Kiwi! , lol ) Michael Dorman. It's a spy series with LOTS of comedy and
of course a fair bit of graphic violence. A good series that deserved a season 3, ( Netflix said NO! ) maybe that was why they left the final episode as a
cliffhanger confident they'd be renewed?

A delightful ( German with English subtitles ) series called Where's Wanda? After devouring all 8 episodes I checked and discovered they
have been green lit for a send season on Apple tv+

I never saw the movie Cowboys and Aliens before.....the guys had seen it, so today I thought I'd see what all the fuss was about.
Yawn.... kind of BUT loved seeing many great actors were in it....Harrison Ford, Keith Carradine, Walton Goggins, Daniel Craig, Sam Rockwell,
Clancy Brown and Olivia Wilde. At least I never dozed off during it.

I never watched any of the Yellowstone series as I was not subscribed to that streaming service at the time.
Since then I now have Paramount+ and watched a series called 1923 having NO CLUE it was all connected
to Yellowstone.
So today I've started watching 1883 and maybe eventually I will get through the 5 seasons of damn Yellowstone.

Well I am in serious mourning right now. My absolute GO TO Late night Host is Stephen Colbert. I'm sure many of you who are fans have heard the awful news.
CBS CANCELLED his show. No replacing him as host, no, they are BS-ing the public by saying it was a financial decision. HAH!!! As IF! There is no way his show was losing them money. The real truth is that during the July 16th monologue Colbert took direct aim at the CBS decision to bow down to the Trump Administration, paying them a whopping $16 million to settle a claim.

The next evening before airtime he was told his show was now being cancelled! Here was the opening statement he gave before his show on the 17th.
Even though the show will run until May of 2026, I am very sad.

Not sure how I managed to watch ALL 4 Seasons of Goliath. A Billy Bob Thornton series ( 2016 -2021 ). It was quite dramatic, with lots of
courtroom scenes where the main character outshined most of the opponents he faced.
My one criticism of this show was that Thornton's character smoked ( and drank ) ALL the time. TOO many scenes of him fumbling for a cigarette,
lighting it, drawing that big first puff. ( barf! ) I despise smoking so those were always wasted film and scenes. Jmho.

Wow! and I do mean WOW! John Malkovich and Ayo Edebiri carried this film called OPUS. Performances from Juliette Lewis and Murray Bartlett get top mention, Tony Hale's character was hilarious! ( as he does ).
The movie kept me on the edge of my seat because I didn't know WTF it was trying to say? ha ha In the end they explained, so all is forgiven. Check it out if ya got nuthin better to do.

For those of you who still have Netflix, Mr. Bean is back with a winner!! A Christmas themed one.
A very easy to binge 4 episode series called Man vs baby . Initially I figured they were geniuses finding
such an incredible happy baby.
Silly me. After researching, I discovered they used TWO sets of twins. For perfectly sound reasons as babies
can only be on set for a total of 2 hours per day.
They also used CGI and AI to capture many of the silliest scenes. Swapped out the faces when the 2nd set
of twins were inserted into scenes. However, don't be deterred by the use of the technology wrt the babies
because you'll be so entertained you'll not notice much.
You will cringe at Mr. Beans typical naivety, laugh at his misfortune and cry happy tears at the end!

Netflix again. A fabulous twist and turning type of drama. Called His & Hers. TESSA THOMPSON!! She carried this series.
Honourable mentions to Sunita Mani, Pablo Schriever ( yes! Liev's 1/2 brother ) and Jon Bernthal. I NEVER guessed the ending!

Also took in a movie from Prime called Good Fortune. Aziz Ansari wrote, directed and starred in this! Keanu Reeves plays an inept
but very adorable newbie Angel. I had to tolerate Seth Rogan and this time he wasn't quite as annoying as I normally find him.

DH wanted to start watching the brand new Star Trek Star Fleet Academy series streaming on Paramount+.
I'm no Trekkie BUT I did love the Strange New World series as well as the Discovery one, while he is more of
a fan of the older ST Series. We've now seen 6 episodes and it's absolutely worth it! Paul Giamatti portrays
an evil character that truly makes it addictive. Some decent laughs in it too!

What's another award show right? Formerly known as the SAGS, it's now called The Actor Awards. Kristen Bell hosted ( again ) and never disappoints.
She's so versatile , delivers comedy, she sings, she acts...well she's an actor doncha know?
Anyhow, I missed the live event but Netflix as it turns out had it available. It was very emotional from start to end.
I still cannot watch Sinners because I'm scared of that evil voodoo stuff!! BUT, now how can I NOT go watch it after listening to Michael B. Jordans'
acceptance speech? The musical performances were beyond amazing and the entire ensemble cast won the big award at the end!!
