Good Saturday morning all. I’m SOOOOOO glad it’s the weekend finally. I had a new client that ended up with a 7.5 hr day and my body is feeling it! Premium pay is nice but not sure it’s worth it for the aftermath my body deals with. I did book a chiropractor and 2 RMT sessions so that will help a bit.
This week upcoming is going to be another doozy. 6 days
. Sometimes I wonder why I do this to myself then I realize it’s helping for retirement (which can’t come fast enough!).
I did get to NF for the last weeks deals and stocked up on beans, bread, wraps and a couple of odds and ends like coffee creamer and was given a free box of Fuzzy Peaches. Yum. We love those and there vegan too. Dh ordered us a Panago pizza on my crazy long day and I threw together a quick simple salad as I was beyond fried after that day. He’s so sweet.
We went to Marks and Sketchers yesterday so Dh could get a pair of slip on shoes but mark's didn’t have his colour and size on sale BUT the positive was I found a bralette that I really liked so at least one of us got something. He found a pair at the actual sketcher store and ended up buying 2 pairs for the B1G1 1/2 off deal. When did sketchers get so expensive???? I know everything is more expensive but I was shocked especially when I compare them to NB. Anyways he was happy. Did a bank deposit and after fighting all the holiday/Friday night traffic we went to Safeway and grabbed some massive russet potatoes, green onions and plain Greek style plant based yogurt and made loaded baked potatoes with a sweet chili tofu for dinner. Safeway might have been more expensive than other stores but the quality was fantastic, it was directly on the way home and waaaaaaaay cheaper than eating out ( we saw the all the restaurants were packed!)
Today's plan is to do the small amount of laundry I have, a light tidy of the kitchen and a quick vacuum. I bought a pack of those damp duster sponges and I think they work pretty well. The only thing is they have to be rinsed more often but still a good purchase I think. Then I’m off for a walk to see Dave my squirrel
Have a fantastic weekend everyone and stay warm

Of course @cath007 , poor Eve!
Do you know what is ailing her or is it old age issues?
Our sweetheart ginger cat ( Claudius ) is a shadow of his former self, weighing only 7 pounds now.
His walk is very slow and he often topples over as he walks.
I will certainly keep Eve in my prayers as I know that she is in fact your world.

@cath007 , ***HUGS***
Okay, I did not get that much done today but well can't change it now.
I did get the shovelling done, only took me about 20 to 30 minutes but there is more coming tomorrow. Luckily it wasn't too bad, but more is coming tonight and tomorrow so we shall see.
I have been doing some general tidying up just moving things to where they should. Also gathering up all the cardboard, I do not know what it is but I felt like there was cardboard everywhere. I got some of it done sure I will find more.
We ordered my bed last night and it said delivery Monday, it showed up today and I hurt my shoulder getting it into the house. I do not know why but I did not think it would be this heavy but WOW is it heavy. It is going to live in our hallway until I figure out what to do with my old bed. Yes, I put the cart before the horse but if I didn't just do it, I never would have.
When I go to build it I will open the box and take it upstairs in pieces. But I did use my appliance lifter again and even broke out the little dollies this time.
Dinner was Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops with Parmesan Smashed Potatoes and Corn. Not bad considering at 4:30 I have no idea what I was making.
I closed Novembers budget and started setting up December, I need to stop letting it pile up. I did spend more last month buying stuff for myself and the house but still under budget. Even with my Black Friday Shopping we are still good, mainly because I really have not bought much for the house this year or myself. But a little carryover is never a bad thing because then those bigger purchases are covered.
Now I just need to start my bullet journal for December.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

@walkonby:
I am not sure she had an indigestion.
She is not vommiting or being nauseous today.
Often she is nauseous.
We think she is diabetic because she drinks a lot of water and pee a lot.
The night I put her in my bed to keep an eye on her and have to take her in my arms to bring her to the litter.
At differents hours.
But very little appetize now and most of the time.
In fact my father give her treats to encourage her to eat.
I am not sure if he is giving too much treats.
Yeah,old age issues
A few years ago she had big crisis of asthma
I really taught I was losing her
I have her since 2014 and she was 6 years and a half......so at 17 years old now.
And we are not sure if it was her real age.
So...yeah...
She have difficulties to walks, she is overweight.
She have osteoarthritis this is painfull for her.
She sleeps a lot.
She had since apparently her birth red (blood) in one eye...over the years it stayed the same ...
But maybe she is blind by one eye I really dont know.
She has some bumps under her skin but no cancer
Not much I can do ....
I just want her to finish her life in peace with me and my father at home....
I am affraid since maybe 2-3 years to lost her because her health is on decline
I adopted Stella my other younger cat who died 1 or 2 years ago for the possibility of losing Eve....
OMG...I am crying by writting this post.
She is truly an angel.
I dont want to put her to sleep....I am not capable...
Maybe I am selfish I dont know...
I am sorry for the long post.
After the dead of Eve my godmother suggest me to adopt a kitten in good health.
I dont want to think about that right now...
I dont think I would be capable.Last edited by cath007; Sat, Nov 29th, 2025 at 08:57 PM.

Good Morning Everyone,
Yep, we got more snow last night, does not look like a lot. I was going to go and shovel first thing this morning but now they are calling for a wintery mix so I am not sure if leaving the snow base is a better option. So far it is doing nothing and if this is all we get today, it would be okay with me LOL.
I am sitting here staring at this bed living in my hallway thinking I should just go for it and build it but then I think about what I am going to do with the old frame and thinking I need to hold off. Thinking I need to clean the upstairs hallways first so I can put the old frame there and then see what I can and cannot fit in my car. I think I can fit the footboard and headboard is the long side panels, I do not know what to do with, not the best option but the basement for now???
I know at some point I will need a junk removal service to come in so if I store it in the basement it will go at some point. Okay again not the best option but working with what we have. I could borrow the Pick-Up but it has the plow on it and I really dislike driving it when it has the plow on.
I think for today, I need to leave the bed in the hallway and focus on other things.
I should come up with a meal plan but Pinterest is failing me, I tried to find dinner ideas last night, nothing, then I was looking for breakfast today, nothing but I get it, it is all holiday treats which I may or may not need. Still undecided on Christmas.
Alright time to stop procrastinating.
Happy Sunday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

The biggest warmest hugs sent @cath007. Like most here I know all too well what you’re feeling. Have you had her tested for diabetes? It’s a manageable disease and cats are actually able to reverse the disease with treatment ( we found that out when Harley was diagnosed). If money is a concern you may be able to contact some rescues or spca in your area for assistance. Hugs again

(((HUGS))) . @cath007 I know how stressful it is for a fur baby to be sick. My dog was diagnosed with diabetes since he was 9 years old and diabetes can be manage with even pets .He is now 13 years old he gets insulin 2 times a day and is on his same food he was eating since before he was diagnosed . You should get Eve testes so you can know how to help her

Frugal is the name of the game theses days! I've picked up so many darn items, ( not just food ) and after looking them over.....reconsidering the price, the value after " shrinkage " I've plopped them right back. With grocery items there are always alternatives that can be swapped into my weekly menus.
This morning I did a WM run for double and triple A batteries. I like their GV value packs. I was stunned they had NO sets of outdoor solar lights. I was specifically looking for mini lights to string along our fence. hrmph!
So onto the next store, NF where I PM'd raspberries to FreshCo, grabbed a dozen 1 L bottles of flavoured waters for the guys. Better than pop! Hit Metro ( close by NF ) for the MOI points deal on DS Peace Tea cans. OP was $4.98 for 3 cans and earned 30 points. I must have loaded a MOI bonus point coupon for a certain dollar spend as I got 75 more points for that? Whipping cream was on sale, a small tray of new Zealand lamb...Mmmm. and the biggest surprise were the Jamieson Vit B12 tablets for $9.99 . The bottle had 20% more inside too!
Dollarama also let me down wrt the solar power mini lights....nada there! They did have DH's masking tape, so not a total bust.
in desperation I crossed the strip mall parking lot to Canadian Tire. It took a fair bit of patience as I waited for a staff member to hunt them down.
I was able to grab 3 boxes, on sale to boot! ( $14.99 instead of $20.00 each ) Soft white LED, more than enough on each string to do the fence PLUS whatever else I hang them on.
I was glad you went ahead and ordered that new bed @SassyAshley . It was delivered so quickly. Eventually you'll have it all set up and will get some restful, much needed sleep.
Speaking of sleep I'm way overdue for my afternoon siesta!

Speaking of sleep this jet lag is wreaking havoc with my schedule. Wide awake every night at midnight and sleepy every afternoon. I shouldn't be surprised since I swapped my nights and days for a month! I guess it is a small price to pay for an extra month of summer-this too shall pass. Time to peel the spuds and prep the rest of dinner so SIL and I can play some Scrabble when she arrives.

Hugs@cath007 like others have said diabetes’s is manageable in pets and the drinking lots of water is certainly a sign.
I did nothing more than go for a walk and clean the bathrooms today. I bought one of the hand held power scrubbers from Costco and it works amazingly well on the shower stall but it appears I am missing one of the attachments and I bought it in summer and only noticed today as I was trying to clean corners. Ugh.Friends don't let real friends pay full price.
