Rescued 8x milk shakes from my Shell station.
Found a 1-pound Red Velvet cake at T&T for $2.50, so I decided to find out how RV tastes. It tastes just like choc cake. Am I missing something?
My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

Today we are in Kuala Lumpur. My sister took a shore excursion into town. As I have done that before I took the free shuttle to a local mall. Things were very cheap-bought a new shirt marked $9 US but it only rang in at $7.60. Also got a custard bun and 5 coke 0 for another $4-big spender today. I love Malaysia-the pop was 50 cents each compared to 5.75 onboard.
Tomorrow we are in Singapore overnight-we have been before but will try to see some of the sights we missed before the day gets too hot. Then 3 sea days and 2 days in Hong Kong. We will eventually wind our way to Sydney and fly home March 16. It has truly been a great trip.

TGIF! Go Canada Go!
Looks like a dark dreary day here. No Snow/rain so maybe the weather app will change and it will be a clear dry weekend? Wishful thinking!
Would be nice to go for a drive tomorrow morning...early for breakfast... Hit a few stores on the way back home but will have to see what the weather app says in the morning!
Going to pop out to the car wash today at some point...my vehicle is filthy!
This week has been very busy workwise...Thinking today will be pretty quiet (especially with the hockey games on today!) so I should be able to clean up a few loose ends so that Monday is a fresh start. I have to large laundry baskets in my office filled with shredded paper that need to go out to the recycling bin so that is my plan at some point today for sure...then I will get motivated to sort some laundry and maybe even toss a load i the washer since all the clean laundry is put away so my drying rack is free.
Have a wonderful day!

Good Morning Everyone,
Happy Friday,
It is raining here now but it is supposed to transition to snow but they are saying we won't get freezing rain now so that is a win.
I was able to take the car in this morning, one little bump they thought I was dropping the car off and not waiting but no problem I took my laptop. I was in and out in 30 minutes and it was just the heat shield (I was freaking out all I could think of is the people who say I just hit a pothole and it cost thousands to fix), quick and easy fix and she is making no noise.
Since I was over that way I went to Wal-Mart and grabbed:
1 x Black Forest Ham
1 x Chicken
1 x White Tortillas
1 x Whole Wheat Tortilla
1 x Mini Cucumbers
My schedule is blowing up for the next few weeks so wanted to grab some easy things for Mom to make herself if I am not home or busy. I know sandwich is not the best for you but better than some other options.
I have not gone to Freshco in forever, their flyer is no longer showing in Rebee but I figure since I was there I would look online and my low shop week, well I grabbed a few things:
2 x Mushrooms
1 x Cherry Tomatoes
4 x Pasta Sauce
4 x Passata
I am kicking myself for not buying more passata as it was only $1.25 but I did not grab a cart, maybe I will try to go back next week.
When I got home even though the weather is icky (cold and damp), I decided to see if I could fit this big box of cardboard into one of the recycling bins. Ever since the new rules came in our town has been up in arms, I have no issues with the new bins except they gave us 6 bins for 20+ households and they are only picked up every other week. Getting your recycling out can be tricky. It fit and it is out of my hallways, YAY!!!!! I was seriously considering taking it to work if it did not fit.
Bunch of work projects I need to work on. Time to get back at it.

Today we are in Singapore so I was learning my way around on the metro. Bought some British candies for sis and I-either 19.00 singapore dollars or 15.75 US dollars. I chose Singapore and the charge went through on the credit card for 15 USD so saved a bit. I was bagged from all the walking when I came back to the ship for lunch-most things are covered or underground which is good as it is very hot, humid and rainy here. Sucks the energy right out of you. We don't leave until tomorrow evening so we will see what else we get up too.

Good Morning Everyone,
The snow has just started for today and I think it is supposed to snow most of the week. I am choosing nothing to think about it right now.
I slept in this morning which was much needed as I have been so tired this week, I am sure my stressing did not help.
I went to bed with so many plans for today but woke up with no ambition so we will see where today takes me.
We have a few things coming up at work and I am thinking taking some baked goods would be a nice touch so I am trying to come up with a plan of having a nice assortment but the key will be baking them off so they are fresh. So I need to come up with a plan. This may fit into my freezer restock, I would not mind having things in the freezer I just need to pull out and bake.
Last night I ended up making Mozzarella Chicken for Dinner as I had Cherry Tomatoes to use up but was surprised to see the pack I got from WalMart on clearance that looked like they were on their last legs were still very firm, it just looks like I grew with lines in them, weird.
Tonight I am thinking Steak Sandwiches with either Butternut Squash Slices or Sweet Potato Slices, I cook them the same way so it is just a question of which one I use. I am leaning towards the squash just because honestly, I want it out of the kitchen.

Hi All!
Yesterday oldest borrowed my vehicle to pick something up (wouldn't fit in his vehicle- he tried). We were all meeting later at a restaurant for dinner so originally he was bringing me my vehicle back...then they were running late so they were going to meet us there. We ended up having an extra vehicle there that we didn't have a driver for (they had drinks) so youngest DS left his there and I drove all the kids home. (so today I had to take youngest to picks his up)
So since I was in the area I went to Walmart and No Frills.
Decided to pick up 2 x PC Chicken Lasagna's for $5 each (App offer) I'm looking forward to these on the next 2 lazy nights....add a salad and garlic bread if we have it in the freezer and a quick meal on the table without thinking about it!
I was looking at the chicken at RCSS but thought I should just pull something from the freezer so we were thinking baked potatoes sounded great so I was thinking steak but the guys decided on the boneless skinless chicken thighs so I have them thawing now.
Maybe tomorrow after the game I will go to RCSS and redeem some points for the thighs and breasts to stock the freezer a bit. Heard on the radio yesterday that chicken is expected to go up 30% end of year..... the reg price is already a price I won't pay so it will be crazy!
Have a great Saturday!Last edited by Frugalbigmama; Sat, Feb 21st, 2026 at 01:21 PM.

Good Evening Everyone,
After I posted this morning I told myself you have to at least clean the bathroom because if I do nothing I will never get caught up this week and it will snowball.
Apparently this was all I needed because I cleaned the bathroom, went to do the floor only to realize I had used the last swiffer wet last time.
Down the basement I went and took the pantry items from yesterday and put them away. Grabbed the Swiffer Wet Cloths (thought it was my last pack but see I on the other self these is a branch new Costco size box, I believe there is 4 packs per box), also grabbed a cream for Mom as she said she was almost out and lastly a pack of steak strips for dinner.
Came back up and vacuumed the main floor and swiffer wet the problem areas (in front of the stove, sink and garbage in the kitchen and in front of the mat in the front hallway as someone, me, stepped off it again). I was too lazy to pull out the mop.
Then upstairs to do the bathroom floor.
After I was done that I decided to prep dinner so I had no excuse. Marinated the meat and cut up the butternut squash.
I didn't get any baking done but there is always tomorrow.
Now it is time to relax. Although I am wishing I had made something I could go for something desserty, oh well, there is always tomorrow.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Good Morning Everyone,
Slow start to the morning here, but slowly getting this day going.
I had this grand plan of making platters of baked goods when I got into branches, for meetings or other things. I think my plans were a bit too big, so I scaled them back at least for this week. This week I am going with my tried and true, a One Bowl Apple cake and Chocolate chip cookies.
Since I didn't really do a grocery shop there isn't much produce prep to be done, only cucumbers.
I am struggling to come up with a prep plan for the week so I think I will clean the fridge and see where it goes.
I guess I will see where the day takes me.
