As usual I’ve been working like crazy but did manage to get a good deal on my eyeglasses (that were scratched at the eye glass store). The frames and lenses were $1553.00 down to $834.40 tax in after my BCAA discount and only $484.40 OOP after benefits. Close to 70% savings

Off to work now to earn more $$$$$.

    Have a great day everyone

Good Morning! Grey wet day out there but I can hear the birds chirping so that makes it a nice day

Last night's dinner was so good! I think I have finely perfected cooking the sweet potatoes. (I cut them in cubes and tossed in olive oil/salt/pepper/garlic power and baked them) They turned out perfect and probably the only way I will make them going forward. My bowl had the sweet potatoes/steak/green beans and an avocado. Every single bite was enjoyable- Or I was just really really hungry lol. Tonight will be the same thing but chicken instead of steak.
My sweet treat was the best last night too- Greek yogurt with fresh strawberries chopped up small and topped on the Greek yogurt then put in the freezer for a few hours. Then drizzled a bit of melted chocolate/coconut oil. So good!

I have a busy work day today but will get out after and do a walk around RCSS and see what I can find. Get my steps in and check out a few items for future meal ideas.

Started wearing a new pair of runners the other day and my feet are thanking me! I had worn these ones once or twice and then put them in the closet ( I think I was choosing my slip on runners instead) but the new ones are so comfy that I will wear them from now on until they are ready for the garbage Then I still have 2 new pairs in the box for back up. Which is great because I haven't been seeing my usual deal for them (could usually get them 50% off and would buy 2 so I could get free shipping)

    Have an amazing day everyone!

Harbie i think you mixed Walkonby and myself up ,i am getting the knee done in August and have tendinitis of my elbow.

I am off to see my sister -in-law she is 76 and had knee surgery back in Jan.I need to get my walker back .I am sending a gift her way ,very frugal indeed i spent 11.30 plus tax for a small little gift i posted in the deal of the day .Plus a few apples and homemade turkey soup for us to have .

She just got a cell phone so i will help her navigate it a bit , last night she sent me a message saying at 10.30 sorry i am messaging you so late ,but could you bring etc.I laughed ,i sent her a few pictures from our cell phone and she somehow lost them or deleted them .Cudos to her for learning to use a cell phone .

Popped out to RCSS to see if they had restocked the chicken thighs- They did! Have one package marinating in the fridge for dinner. Another package in the fridge to cook in 2 days. 3rd package was wrapped and put in the freezer.
Also took a walk to see if they changed the sign for my SCOP yesterday and they did not so got another one for free

Nope @coupon girl . I meant walkonby is ok to whine because she’s been through a lot lately and you too either your tendinitis AND your knee which is why I said august can’t come soon enough. For some reason it didn’t tag you . I probably forgot to type it.

    Good Evening,
Everyone needs to whine sometimes and everyone needs to rant sometimes. But in all seriousness @walkonby , hope you feel better soon and they figure out what is causing the issue. @coupon girl , hope your elbow feels better and august is here so you can get your surgery.

Yesterday I got Mom out of the house for the first time since we got snow back in what November. We had an order to pick up a specialty shop and was even able to in the shop and look around for something she did see online.

On the way home I was going to go to No Frills but decided not too, just wanted to get home plus I knew I had a lot to unload (her stuff but that was small, her cane, her walker, we grabbed fun drinks at Starbucks), plus I knew I was going out today.

Today I was in the branch trying to switch all of our staff to the new server, I did 2 previously to test all went well, today 3 worked, 3 did not, so that has been sent to IT, hopefully I get an answer tomorrow as we need to roll this out company-wide.

    On the way home, I stopped at No Frills and got 1 x Apple 6lbs $4.99 + 1500 pts, 1 x Cherry Tomatoes 680 g $4.99 + 500 pts, 2 x Chai Tea $3.

Tonight's dinner was not as good as the rest of the week, we ended up having Naan Pizza as I was fighting with the system to do something I just have to accept it won't do, I tried.

I have made a list for the upcoming sales and will see, my list always starts out much larger than what I actually buy. I also really need to go to Costco and originally was doing to go yesterday but a meeting popped up so I cancelled my plant day and then the meeting got postponed. Then I was going to go tomorrow but my postponed meeting go moved to tomorrow so again I cancelled going to the plant so we will see what happens. The rest of week I have meetings both morning and afternoon. But I must say the Costco list is getting a bit long.

We will see what tomorrow brings, although I hear more rain and I won't be shopping in the rain.

    Happy Wednesday Everyone.

oh man we got a big dump of snow overnight-looks like about 10 inches and DH has already shoveled twice. I still got out and about and the roads were not too bad-I avoided the rush hour. Hopefully that is the last of the season.

    Good Evening Everyone,
Another busy day, I was up early and enjoyed myself until we opened and then well it started becoming a little chaotic. Server not working, phones down in one location, one person computer just said nope. But we got it all sorted.

After the chaos and when it wasn't raining I ran to No Frills for a few things, although they were out of quite a few things I was looking for:
they had no 18-pack of eggs (I wanted to PM Sobeys)
    No Poise Pads
    No Toothbrushes
    No Ice Cream Bars.

    I did manage to get:
    2 x Strawberries $1.98
    1 x Broccoli $1.44
    1 x Rosemary Breton Crackers $2
    2 x Dill Breton Crackers $2
    2 x Sugar $1.88
    1 x Milk $5.17
    1 x Almond Milk $2.99 (PM Freshco)

I wanted to go to Costco after my last meeting but my meeting ran late, and then the rain that was supposed to stop by 4 ended up stopping around 6:30 so will need to figure this out. Originally I was going to go Saturday but then I was told I need to be on call, okay, then I was told I need to be on call and be at my computer so no Costco. Guess I will be cleaning instead.

Originally I was going to make Beef and Broccoli for dinner which is why I went and got Broccoli but because I thought I was going to Costco I did not marinate the meat. So instead I pulled our last pack of Sausage (Costco, hasn't had the one we like the last 3 times I was there), and Roasted some Sweet Potatoes and Brussel Sprouts as our side.

We are going to try the Feta and Spinach Chicken Sausages Costco has on sale, hope we like them. I feel like we need more dinner options when it comes to proteins which I am super picky about my proteins, it is me, I am the picky one.

It is almost bed time and then time to do it all over again tomorrow.

    Happy Thursday Everyone.

@SassyAshley those sausages from Costco are really good and I was happy to see them back this year.
Earlier in the week I went to a local thrift in search of jeans because it was seniors day. I did not find jeans but I did find a brand new with tags still on pair of shoes in my size. It was a cute pair of sandals and for 4.00 I could not pass up.
Then I went to Walmart and spent 2.00 on an iron on patch and fixed my jeans. The best part is there was 8 patches in the pack so the next time the thighs wear through a pair of jeans I will just patch.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.
