@cath007 I forget now is your Dad getting a knee replacement surgery? If so, that seems odd for them to keep him in the ER for 3 days.
Most knee replacements they make you stand and walk as soon as the anesthetic and the frozen leg stuff wears off, then they discharge you.
I sincerely hope he recovers quickly.

Walmart had paczki donuts on clearance. Got 2x 4-donut packs for $1.24 each

Salvaged a couple of pounds of rice from RCSS.

Good Morning! Rainy morning here......of course I was going to do some yard work today since everything looked so nice and dry yesterday!

I just took out chicken from the freezer for dinner (thawing in the sink now). Tonight will be chicken/sweet potato and green beans. There are a few burger patties left and buns so I am sure they will be cooked up as well.

My walk this afternoon will be in No Frills and Walmart. Told my sister I would pick her up sweet potatoes and Laughing cow cheese since I found deals on them.
We are going to the movies on Friday evening.... I can't even remember the last time I went. She has tons of Scene points and will order our tickets. I have tons of Cineplex gift cards so hoping she will want the frozen yogurt We are going make/have dinner at her place before we go.

I have a pretty good work day- will do a few things on my list today and then hopefully get on some office cleaning.

Found a pile of dog/cat treats from mailouts with long expiry dates. Need to find the local food pantry boxes in town because I think it would be a good place to put them? I know there is one in the next town but will see if we have one.

    Have a wonderful day!

I really am my most productive in the morning.

First break I cleaned out the fridge completely. Then washed all the little glass containers. The leftovers are on the top shelf and to be eaten tonight.
If I don't make plates I find leftovers sometimes don't get eaten so I need to get better at not making so many choices! It wasn't much but I still did toss a bit of rice/shrimp/garlic sauce/cut up onions/shredded lettuce etc.

We have a meat pie in the freezer that DS's girlfriend made for us. I am really excited to have it but wanted to wait till after my 30 days of healthy eating.... we are almost there so I see that as a future dinner with a large side of veggies Will plan it for a day after a good hike to balance out the crust

Now to get the work things done that won't take long since the hard part is already done! As usual procrastinate.

    Good Afternoon Everyone,
It has been a busy morning, hoping for a little bit of a calmer afternoon,

When I woke up 5 this morning I heard a dog that sound like it was losing it outside, barking lots of noise. I just assume someone was walking there dog and fell back asleep. When I woke up at 6 I still heard it and got up to see a neighbour outside trying to get the dog home. They seem to know the dog but also made sure to keep this little kiddie wagon between them and the dog does not seem friendly. They also said this is the second time the dog has gotten out because it has learned to open the door which is unsettling.

I had to run to and grab my summer tires and switch cars, I got pushed up in the rotation due to my oil life. Asked that they make sure nothing else is going on since my oil life shouldn't be an issue.

I was going to go to No Frills on the way home but it started to rain so will either go after work tonight or tomorrow.

Work has been one of those days where everything is priority drop everyone else so it has been a fun morning. Hoping for a calmer afternoon since I have a programming meeting.

    Happy Tuesday Everyone.

I am hoping they last as long as 13 or 14 years as my other one did but i doubt it they guy said you are lucky if you get 7-9 years out of them.

I even got 2 free pods and some beads and 3 coupons .lol

@coupon girl , enjoy the new washer.

I have to be honest, I do not do extended warranties either as from what I have seen either it breaks outside of warranty or somehow the issue is not covered under warranty and you have to pay anyways. I know some people who swear by the extended warranty but I feel like the few who do is a far smaller percentage than those who have not found the benefit.

    Good Morning!

Our fridge is nice and clean and empty! (well besides being stocked up on eggs lol) And I love it! Freezer is full of stuff.
Tonight will be the usual for me (chicken/green beans/sweet potato) I will dig in the freezer and make some thing to be used up for the hungry people.
I will have to thaw more chicken since there is only a small piece left from last night.

Think I will check out the new laundromat today afterwork. Then I can use a super big washer and wash all the jackets/hoodies in one wash and bring them home to dry. I will go for a walk around the complex while they wash. My way to kill 2 birds with one stone!

Yesterday in the kitchen I emptied 2 drawers and one huge corner cupboard. All my pots/pans/baking dishes are out in view for me to decide what stays and what goes. The finalists will go in the 2 drawers. Then the corner unit will be for the crockpot/sealer/sandwich press etc. Then the bottom shelf of the huge butcher block will be empty finally! Then it is just the junk drawer and junk cupboard above it!
Our food storage is still very neat and organized and I am able to replenish with sales as needed.

I realized last night that I have not made pasta in over a month. DS's fav but I am not eating it so it hasn't been made. So I am sure he would love pasta soon one night. Think I will make it tomorrow night and then there will have leftovers Friday night for when I am away at my sister's for the night. A plan!
(I stocked the pasta sauce a few weeks ago from the Sobey's deal (spend $40 get 2000 Scene points)

Ok off to get the chicken out of the freezer and then put on my runners so I can get some things done around the house on my work breaks!

    Have a wonderful day!
