@flemeth, my phone keeps telling me it is going to snow today. I don't think it will but that was a surprise. Although I am taking these cooler days to enjoy the last few days of leggings and oversized sweat shirts.

@cath007, great news that the procedure was a success, hoping for a quick a speedy recovery.

    @HermanH , that sounds horrible

    Good Morning Everyone,
Yesterday was one of those days. I was supposed to have 4 meetings but woke up to a message one was cancelled, but then got pulled into additional meetings as the day went on. A lot of my day was "anything else for me as I need to leave for my next meeting."

Originally, I thought about going out and running some errands today just to get out of the house but honestly, I do not feel like it, so I am staying in.

I found a loaf of bread that was a little freezer burnt, I don't want to throw it out so I am turning half of it into French Toast. I will put it in the fridge and eat what I eat this week and freeze the rest.

I am really struggling with how busy we are at work right now. I was going to extend the May long weekend but apparently my brain is not computing dates accurately because how do I extend the May long weekend when my current project doesn't go live until June 1st. So maybe I will try to extend the Canada Day weekend instead.

But for now, I am just going to work on little things to make life easier during the week.

    Happy Saturday Everyone.

Had an unfortunate incident at Walmart. As I was walking away in the parking lot, a man came up behind me and started screaming, "Thief!". There were a number of people around, so I thought nothing of it, until I realized that he was accusing me. He was shouting, "He puts things under his shirt and steals!". I took out my bag and wallet and told him that they were mine, but he refused to stop. He kept ranting that "He does it all the time." I asked who told him that and he said that, "the lady inside told me." (The Walmart greeter.)

He refused to stop, even when confronted with the truth. So, we exchanged insults until we were out of range. I thought I would just let it end, since one idiot in a parking lot is inconsequential. However, upon further reflection, I realized that the idiot is the Walmart employee, who was maliciously spreading her lies and defamation. I turned back 2km and walked back into the store to file a formal complaint with the manager.

I wrote out the complaint and asked the attending manager for a response in-kind. He recognized me and knew of my practice of hanging bags around my neck, under my shirt. But everything I take is paid or mine. Had this been a single instance of stupidity, I could have forgiven it and ignored it. However, I don't know how long this woman had been doing this and there is no way she would ever stop, unless forced. More so, she managed to incite one man to nearly act in violence. I don't know if she is racist against Asians or those who look indigineous. She went out of her way to tell a member of the public her lies and spread hate.

I hope that she is fired, though I doubt it very much.
@HermanH so sorry to hear that this happened to you. I would also contact Walmart's head office, as this is NOT acceptable. I've seen people walking out with products setting off the alarm and nothing is done, when I volunteered for Salvation Army. Once again very sorry, as nobody needs that kind of stress leaving a store. I personally avoid Walmart as I find some of the employees rude or don't understand English and proceed to talk in their language, ignoring customers.

Our regular Saturday grocery outing did not go as planned. We only managed to shop at 1 store. FB @ Ellesmere and Neilson.
There was a tractor trailer fire in the wee hours on the W 401. All Express lanes were shut down near where we are, so the hwy.
traffic was forced off and they plugged up OUR streets! HRMPH!!
It's all cleared up finally but we're too tired to go back out now.

My father call me this morning.
He is supposed to be released tomorrow morning at 9:30-10:00 A.M.

    Yesterday,she brought me 6 bananas.
On another note my auntie godmother came back for a surprise visit and brought 4 homemade apples-cinnamon muffins with a container of homemade vegetables soup.

After she said I am here to do some cleaning in your appart and she did not notice me before.
I am frustrated. I like more to do my things by myself.... I am mad about me to have mentals and physics problems.... My brain is just burned and fuzzy. I just feel I want the control of my life and this is not the case ....
Dont get me wrong I appreciate the gesture but I am against that.
It is difficult for me to admit I am not capable to do it myself because of my physic and mental health. I have none diagnostic ADHD and obsessive -compulsive disorder too. That does not help.Lack of concentration and focus too .
She cleaned(well trow away all the stuff in the fridge) and she cleaned the kitchen counters and cleared all the things on the kitchen floor.
She dont care about compost, garbage and recycling ....she wanted just all the stuff out of the appt.
Next time I politely ask her to notice me before she come.
Because she want to recome and do all the appt cleaning aka cleared all the stuff...
Soon, she will trow to garbage all of my coupons..too.

It is nice to see you accept the kind gesture for the intent it was meant, even if it does not necessarily meet your needs.

On Friday I am off on an Alaskan cruise with my daughter and her fiancee. My brother and sister in law will be going as well. When I fly back from Vancouver DH will be at work and unable to meet me at the airport-I intend to save quite a bit by taking transit home rather than using a taxi. Also using public transit in Vancouver to get from the airport to the ship.

    Good Morning Everyone,
I thought I would wake up this morning and feel like I needed to go out and get the things done. Nope, my first thought after I checked the time this morning was I don't want to go out, so I am not.

I really don't have any prep to do because I haven't been shopping. I did put everything away in the pantry yesterday (potatoes and pasta). Last night I wanted something for dessert so I cooked up a batch of brownies. Not much prep that needs to be done so not sure where today will take me.

I did get some cleaning done yesterday, pantry has been tidied, bathroom has been cleaned (except the floors) and I washed up our "new" pantry containers that we have had for months I just have not washed.

There are a lot of things I want to tackle but I am struggling with how to get them done because it feels like everything I want to do, there is something else I need to get done so I am in my typical spinning of "how do I get this done." I probably need to just dive in but I think I annoyed myself yesterday because the kitchen so cramped yesterday with containers everywhere drying that I am now over thinking things.

Oh well, we will see where the day takes me.

    Happy Sunday Everyone.
