We are book for an Alaskan cruise in the summer of 2027. It’s my 60th birthday gift to myself. It’s somewhere I have always wanted to go.
it’s a cold rainy day here today. So it’s been a good day to read a book. I did got to Canadian Tire to take advantage of the points event. I bought a huge bag of grass seed and used all my points and then earned back 60.00. So that was a sweet deal.

Another day of plenty.

Found an Ozark trail camplight next to a bum camp.

Found a shopping cart abandoned by a bum at a bus stop. It had 3x 7-11 pizza sub sandwiches. I'm pretty sure they are still good, since they only expired yesterday. Probably not even outside for more than 12h.

Looks like the little scumbag planned on a vandalism spree, after dinner. The cart had many used cans of spray paint.

RCSS had 22x 2-pound bags of fine couscous and beans for $0.24 each. That's only 12 cents/pound. It's been a long time, since I've had to lug 45+ pounds of stuff home.

Got a question for all you sharp-eyed SCOP experts out there.

I saw a couple flats of 213mL cans of tomato paste on the clearance rack at RCSS. There was no price on the rack. So, I took a can to Customer Service to find the price. The gal scanned it and said that there was no price, since it was not in the system, apparently.

I gave up and left. The next day, I come back to the rack and see that they had put up a price of $0.24, but all had already been sold.

My question is, if a product has no price whatsoever when scanned, does it still fall under SCOP? Can a customer still demand at least one product for free (under $10)? I joked with the stockboy that I could just take the whole flat for free.

Good Morning and Happy Monday! Looks like a nice sunny day out there.

The weekend flew by. I ended up staying a 2nd night at my sister's (My BIL and niece were convincing!) And my house was quiet this weekend so housework could wait!
Saturday afternoon my sister was taking my niece to the mall to meet a friend to shop for a dress. I am not a shopper lol so I went to the casino for a few hours (left up $395!!) and then met them back at the house. We played a lot of cards over the weekend.
Sunday we went to Costco in the morning (we were there 2 hours!) and then to a Japanese grocery store. My niece bought a bunch of junky treats lol.
Then back to the house and played cards again and then my sister and I took the dog for a walk in the rain. We both didn't want to go but ended up walking 35 mins so we were happy we went! Then I came home and cooked a late dinner (I was called in the afternoon from the house and asked that chicken be taken out to thaw) so at least it was thawed when I got home.

Our fridge is so empty!!! We would not starve since our freezers are full. But I guess I should go buy some groceries today.

Popped out to RCSS and FB.

Spent $10.25 at RCSS 2 x Watermelons (I was ready to price match but my store was selling for $3.99 each) Received 3800 PC pts. (1500 per app offer 400 each per personal offer) $2.25 carton of reduced eggs (expire May 7th) (200 pc pts personal offer)

Spent $23.40 at FB 2 x raspberries, $5.88 4pk burger patties for treat dinner (received 125 MOI pts) (Ds ate the package I bought last week)
$4.99 Greek yogurt (Costco was out yesterday) $3.88 2 L milk, $3.99 Dempsters wraps.

Came home to put groceries away and I am starving. I have a few eggs boiling now. I will make up a snack plate with 2 boiled eggs, cucumbers, Greek yogurt and fresh raspberries. Weird mix but when you are hungry it all seems to work!

I will go out later after work to the bank for a deposit and will pop in No frills and Walmart to look around and get my steps in.

Good Afternoon Everyone,
UGH, what a morning. I put something in my calendar wrong, luckily Bro emailed last night that he did his part which made me double-check. Yep I thought it was the 8th, nope it was the 4th.

I should have logged in last night and did it but I was not feeling well so I went to bed instead with the intention of getting up at 5 to get it done. That did not happen I ended up sleeping in but after 9 hours or sleep I am feeling much better. Not sure what that was last night but all of a sudden I felt horrible.

I got nothing done yesterday except for cleaning out the fridge (just a handful of sliced strawberries to go out) and taking out the garbage.

It took me most of the morning to do my part, it took forever and our server was not happy about the upload.

When I was done I took my lunch and went to pick up Mom's prescription. Since I was out I ran into No Frills, they did not have bread (I wanted to PM Food Basics), Cantaloupes or Cherry Tomatoes. But I did get Raspberries x 2, Broccoli, 2 x Sour Cream & Miracle Whip. I will go out later in the week for the other things we need.

Originally I was going to try to run to Costco after work tonight but turns out what I thought was a 1 pm meeting is a 3 pm meeting so once this meeting is done it will be time to make dinner. So will have to find another day to go to Costco.

Still need to figure out dinner for tonight, I might just pull some Stuffed Shells from the freezer and call it a night, we will see after my meeting.

I bought 5 lbs of potatoes, 3 lbs of carrots and 1 lb of brussel sprouts on clearance at my local store for 5.97. A lady texted me today needing childcare for her toddler in June-this would be $4320 straight into my travel fund. I have been looking at a Baltic cruise next summer that costs less than that. I prefer these short gigs that still allow me to travel.

Good timing, the compost and recycling are due tomorrow.
After,I washed my compost bin.

Morning!

I popped out again late afternoon to the bank and 1 No Frills. Spent $10.76 on sour cream, rye bread, PC frozen green beans and Cracker Barrel Natural cheese slices -Smokey ($4.79 less $1.50 coupon) Thought it would be a treat on my burger bowl. I don't love it but I'm sure it will be used up.

Tonight we are doing tacos. Ground turkey and I did find a frozen tube of ground beef so I will make that one too. I just need to pop out and get romaine (PM GT) and green onions (Food land) then we will have everything to do us a few days with the leftovers. For me it will be tacos.

I'm not feeling like working right now....hopefully after my coffee I find my motivation. Maybe I need an afternoon off this week (I think I have only taken 1 sick day and 2 afternoons off since Christmas) I do this every year.... try to not take days off till vacation which I have always taken the week after the May long weekend. Then I struggle trying to use up all my vacation days lol.

Yesterday I was hungry...seemed to eat earlier then I usually try to do but it all worked out. I am going to cook up the taco meat today at some point so it is ready at dinner time to just heat and eat. Then I can go for a walk/out after work and try and come home just before I like to eat (6Pm) Having it ready lets me get out.

Morning ,took up our area ( old rug) in livingroom ,it was from my daughter so didnt pay for it .Cut it in half as we have a bulk pickup booked this week for 4 items .
I am now looking at area rugs at a discount place i shop, online they have a bunch of pages of rugs so i will keep looking .

No frugal news today BUT at least I haven't murdered anyone! I say that because of the frustration level I experienced when completing the Census online.
What a Royal PITA!! I must have short term memory loss because I do not recall the sheer number and very invasive personal types of questions they were asking.
o.k......never mind, I JUST Googled and here it is!!

The Canadian census asks questions on key topics including age, sex at birth, gender, marital status, household relationships, language, education, income, employment, ethnic origin, housing, and mobility. Oh and by the way there's a $500.00 if you do NOT fill one out.

DH had just left for work when I got the form out of the mailbox. I can only imagine if this were left up to him to fill out??!
We'd be paying the fine for sure!! lol.

UPDATE!! I now discovered this! There are 2 types of forms this year!!

Short Form: ~10 basic questions (names, age, gender, relationships).
Long Form: ~60+ questions ...with all the above mentioned more detailed personal questions.



So..... the long form is the one we got....lucky us!!
