I did a bit of weeding in my front flower garden early on around 9.00 a.m ,now in for the day .Too hot for me .

My daughter and Sebastian got in last night ,she text me and said she would call me later .She took the first 2 days off work at the end of her vacation .

My dear hubby replaced the heating tubes on our BBq cost his brother $6.00 for the 6 tubes on 2.00 day at the bins .That in itself is frugal ,no new BBQ for us .

    Good Afternoon Everyone,
Was hoping for a catch up get it all done type of day but our servers have other ideas. We have crashed so far 3 times today.

I should have known, I had such problem getting out of bed today, I was just so tired, it was a sign of what was to come.

But with that being said before we crashed for the first time I needed to take a break and realized it wasn't that hot upstairs yet so I got the bathroom cleaned. It needed a good scrub down, it could use a deep clean but now way am I using steam cleaner in this heat. The floor also still needs to be done, it started to get warm.

Not the best going into a heatwave but my skin is really acting up so I am trying not to sweat because it makes it flare up more.

Mom wanted Nachos but I wasn't feeling it last night so I made a Taco Salad instead. Tonight I am thinking maybe Steak Sandwiches but we will see. Although we did have beef last night so maybe chicken would be better.

I did get the produce prep done yesterday plus I made my Cucumber Spread for my bagels. Could I have done more, yes, did I do more not but something is better than nothing.

    Happy Monday Everyone.

It's too hot to even want to do anything outside. Hygienist appt. was necessary, everything else can wait.

    Good Morning Everyone,
I have not been outside but was just looking at my phone and it says it already feels like 30 degrees out. Looks like it is going to be a hot one which means it is the perfect say to sit on front of my laptop and try to get caught up on work stuff.

Last night neither us were very hungry at Dinner time so originally I was going to do Breakfast for dinner but then the idea of sweet was not appealing so instead I did Chicken Burgers (A chicken breast sliced in half and seasoned on a hamburger bun with Mayo, Lettuce and Pickles, plus a slice of cheese for Mom), with a side of Chips and Dip, kind of the perfect summer dinner.

Tonight is another mystery, since we had Chicken Burgers last night we won't do sandwiches back to back so Steak Sandwiches are out. Not sure yet, hoping something will come to me as the day goes on.

I was hoping upstairs wouldn't bee too hot and I could do the floors but the humidity is already here so looks like the floors will need to wait. Not sure what I will tackle today, I should have done the bedding but again I had issues getting out of bed again this morning. I really need a break but until we work out the go-live issues taking time off isn't an option. With that being said hoping to resolve most of them today so I can move forward.

Happy Tuesday Everyone and for the those under the heat warning, stay cool.

    Good day! Another hot one!

I would have liked to go for my walk earlier this morning but I am just too busy with work...Will make sure to get out later today even if it means I have to walk around RCSS- I think that will just have to be the plan.

Took chicken out of the freezer for dinner tonight/tomorrow night. Will make sweet potato and green beans. Boring. Simple. But at least I don't have to think about what's for dinner now.

Work- 4 days to get all my stuff done before vacation time! I could plow through it today/tomorrow no problem I just need to find the motivation!! Ugh!

Our fridge is pretty empty which I love!!!! Have apples (for a week) and blueberries for today for my oatmeal. I should go get more today (and strawberries) just incase the last day of the sale they are out. Frozen raspberries in the freezer for back up but I am really enjoying this fresh combination.

The pasta meat sauce with ground turkey was a hit. Nobody complained. I just put 4 x 1/2 cups in the freezer this morning so we are getting a good little assortment of easy things to grab from the freezer to mix it up. I am going to pick up more ground turkey today since shrinkflation is happening and one place the 4 x 1Lb is now 3 x 1lb for the same price.

Ok it is oatmeal time- I am starving! Have a wonderful day!

By mistake I grabbed a second clam shell of strawberries ( the darn sales enticed me) so I have a cake
in the oven now which used almost 1 pound of them up. I've been using up the Betty Crocker Lemon cake
mixes that I've had in the storeroom for way too long.
Such a simple process with a mix. The berries were washed, hulled and halved and placed cut side down to
cover the entire batter surface. Woo hoo, the timer went off....Mmmmmm I won't wait for it to cool....lol

Morning! Smokey sky! (not overcast as I thought from bed!)

Went for a good walk last night at 9:15! Was on the phone the entire time so just kept walking. A huge group of boys on their bikes drove by and said hello lol
Didn't realize how hot is still was out till I walked back in the house and needed a shower before bed!

Dinner tonight is a repeat- just need to make the sweet potatoes and green beans to go with the chicken.
Sweet treat was the best! I chopped up fresh strawberries- mixed in Greek yogurt. Add a bit of coconut and then placed flat in the freezer. Drizzled melted chocolate/coconut oil. It was so good and will be a repeat tonight for sure! (while I have fresh strawberries!)

I popped out yesterday afternoon quickly to FB and FL. 2 x Strawberries and Greek yogurt 2 x blueberries. Came home and washed them all up and put in glass containers in the fridge.

Should do a load of laundry later today and hang it to dry so it is ready to put away tomorrow/Friday morning. Not much really but my fav yoga pants should be ready for the weekend
I also need to pack for the road trip with my sister and niece-leaving early Monday morning. We are planning on doing the Elora Gorge tubing one day and hitting a beach/hiking after we do our Schitt$ Creek tour on the other day. Packing most food so just having dinner out so should be able to stay on track!

Now to get a few more work things off my list!

    Have a great Wednesday!

    Good Afternoon Everyone,
The wild fire smoke is here as well, there is a very weird glow outside. I did not go outside yesterday but saw a lot of people online commenting on a chemical smell. I did not notice a smell but it feels very creepy.

I ran to No Frills at 8 am to grab a couple of things before it got too hot and it was weird to see all the lights that are on sensors not timers still on.

At No Frills I grabbed a 10lb bag of potatoes, 2 x Chai Tea and Price Matched an Almond Milk to Zehrs.

Still need to look at the new flyers and see if there is anything to pick up once the flyers change, I am sure there will be a few things.

I really need to go to Costco but the thought of lugging it in, in this heat is not appealing.

Today is a day, so far we have not crashed, yay!!!! but very overwhelmed, might be a good thing the weather is so bad or else I would have probably walked away but it won't get the stuff done.

    Happy Wednesday Everyone.

DH and I have decided that on Wednesdays we will go exploring. The plan is to do day trips to places that are driving distance so today it was Windsor NS. Had an awesome lunch out and found an art shop filled with local art work. We picked up a few small prints for the upstairs bathroom.
So far the forest fires are not impacting us and last summer’s fires were very close to us so I know how bad it can get. We are also experiencing another drought so everyone is praying for rain.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Will soon drop my DH off for his hip replacement-a very expensive day!! But at least he will be out of pain and able to walk properly again-which makes it worth it. This is the second hip to be replaced so we should be old pros by now.

@lizzie bargain wishing your DH surgery goes according to plans and that it it’s a success. Yes it will be money well spent when he can be pain free.
