Good Morning Everyone,
Slow morning over here.
I have been enjoying it cooling off over night as it cools the house down for the morning and it feels less stuffy but last night did not really cool off. As soon as I came out of my room this morning (I had my AC going, I noticed it right away). Went back in my room and just hung out in bed in the AC and as soon as I came down this morning, the AC went on.
I have not accomplished anything this morning, I think it is my allergies but my face is really bugging me today.
Yesterday we cleaned 2 of the 4 shelves Mom saw the mouse on including the one she saw it on. I would have liked to have cleaned all 4 but we got done the 2 shelves we use. The other two shelves are full of randomness I found in the Dining Room that we need to decide if we are keeping or tossing. I am taking it as win and we will see if we tackle the other two today.
It is nice to have these shelves back because I had washed a few things that were just always in my way and floating around the kitchen. But as well there were things I needed to wash and it so hard not to use them, UGH!!!!! dang mouse. Although we found no signs of the mouse being there (if you know, you know) so I think we caught it early but still everything needed to be bleached.
I was going to tackle freezer today but not sure I have that in me so we shall see.
Last night was Mozzarella Chicken and Cheesy Garlic Naan (had such a craving for the cheesy garlic naan and it was amazing), tonight I am not sure yet. Will see how the day goes.
Happy Saturday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

I feel that mouse issue you have @SassyAshley . We've get a small invasion of them every year when the temps drop in winter.
DH has always done his duty, setting traps successfully and I'd cry every time one was killed. They look so small and helpless
but I cannot have them as roommates.
So last year he bought these electronic devices that you plug in as near to where you think the mice are nesting. OMG! I never
thought they'd work but as long as they stay plugged in we have no problem.
I know because my cat Hamlet is my mouse detector! Previous to this he'd sit everyday and whine loudly at the ceiling down
here in the basement. Frustrated the bee Jesús out of him as he had no way to get up to those soft panels.
Speaking of Hamlet I get the feeling he is going to put a Vet Bill wrench into August. Yesterday he was acting odd, then I looked
more closely at his mouth. Yep, there was a bump, a blister? Seemed like a scab had formed over it. He hissed at me when I
dared to gently touch the top of it, so I know it's painful.
Called the Emerg Vet Clinic as mine is closed all long weekend. Described it and they said as long as he still eats and drinks we could
wait until our regular vet is open. Still a visit to any vet always costs.
Here's my poor boys face. It ok me over half an hour to get a clear shot of his face. The rascal kept moving and putting his lip down....ha ha

@walkonby , good to hear about the plug in things, I have considered them but they seemed to have mixed reviews. One question do you hear them making noise when you are close too them? We have never figured out where they come in so I would put one in the basement and one on the main floor.
Oh no, hope your fur baby is feeling better soon2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

@SassyAshley I have the plug in mouse things and there is zero noise. I have it in a corner where they normally come in and nothing, the traps are still unused so they do work.

I am so proud of myself today, I walked into Shoppers and looked at the clearance isle and in spite of several great deals, I just left with my prescriptions and nothing else. I'm in the process of using up everything I have in my bathroom and kitchen before I spend more money.
Hot and humid outside, but I need to cut a section of grass before it rains again. I wanted to go to the Festival of Friends at Gage Park but have been asked to do some dog sitting, which is ok as I need $$ as I'm replacing my windows. They keep icing over in the winter and are hard to open in the summer, I figure it's time to do it.
Fostering two sets of kitties - a family of 4 from Windsor only one month old and I still have the 18 year old cat that was going to be left behind in an apartment. People are so cruel sometimes. Please keep your pets inside and get them spayed/neutered. While I love fostering, it seems like a never ending stream of pregnant cats.
Have a great weekend everyone and stay cool.

Found a backpack abandoned by a bum. Normally, they are all torn and worthless. However, this one is still in pretty decent shape. Took it home to wash and re-use. It could come in handy.
Found a juice box abandoned by a bum outside RCSS. Perfect the slake my thirst on such a hot (31C) day.
My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

@Tweets77 and all of you with kind words, yes it appears Hamlet's swollen mouth area has
reduced in size some. He's still eating and drinking well and loves his Temptation Salmon
flavoured filled treats, so that eases my worries quite a bit.
He continues to climb up on the recliner when I sit in it, then does his signature flop landing
part way on the arm of the chair with his butt on my thigh. Such a jokester.

Walkonby so glad your Hamlet is feeling better.
I just ordered myself a unisex baseball hat at sporting life -shipping is free with code freeship and extra 15% with code extra ,plus thru in a carhartt t-shirt for hubby .A lot of his t-shirts are garbage ,just put 3 in the garage as paint shirts.
I need to go out and buy fluff for "Pennys" cage as it is starting to smell.I am getting use to talking and petting this old tiny hampster.lol

@SassyAshley we use the mouse device in our NS home. It’s a very old farmhouse so likely lots of places they could get in. I bought the 8 pack at Canadian Tire and we keep them plugged in year round. So far we found one mouse in 3 years and it was in the living room so no damage was done. It was also not hiding so I think the sensor was freaking it out so I literally swept it out the front door. There’s never been any evidence of mice either. @barbis9 I try to stay out of shoppers because I get tempted buy stuff I don’t need by points offers and clearance. I am hopeful we get the egg and butter offer this week as I need eggs.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.
