Good Morning Everyone,
Thank you for your comments. I am trying, I did manage to log out of work at 4:30 yesterday which was nice.
But, after dinner I ran the dishwasher and yep another puddle on the floor which means it must be a pipe leaking, now it Just need to find out which one and I guess call a plumber.
Only issue is, this in the L which is stacked floor to ceiling with boxes and random stuff so we cannot call a plumber until I clean the L.
I hate paying people to do things and would rather do them myself and save the money but honestly, if it wasn't for also needed a plumber I think I would be inclined to pay someone to clean out the L.
I also think a third party doing it might go better because in theory everything there should be able to go since we haven't used it in years but never fails once we start going through it it becomes "Oh I have been looking for that," "Oh we can use that," "Oh I forgot about that," "Oh we used to use this all the time," and before we know it more is staying than going. At this point I get overwhelmed and shut down so maybe a third party would be a bad idea but $$$ are the issue. I am scared to find out the cost because it isn't just hauling it out it is sorting it.
I also need to clean out the other room as Mom wants to move the stuff out of storage as the fees are going up again so I pretty much need to clean out the whole basement. Not looking forward to this at all.
More than anything I question where the time is coming from to get this done because I will have to do it alone as Mom can no longer do the basement stairs.
But for now it is a mute subject as it is a work day, so I am working.

Never I will rebuy an HP printer.
They are so cheap.
It is the last time for me.
I got an error message in the screen of the printer after everytime I print....
I have to reset-restart the printer to have it ok.
It does works but very annoying.
I will read the e-book to see if I can fix that.
No I did not take a warranty.
sorry....a rant lol.Last edited by cath007; Wed, Aug 12th, 2026 at 06:12 PM.

@coupon girl , so true that we can only do what we can do.
I just feel like every time I try to find something for me or come up with a plan to do that little something for me something happens and especially this last year it feels like the $$$ have to be reallocated. I know not everything costs money I just feel like a lot of $$$ are leaving which always causes me some anxiety.
Looks like Mom's AC will need to be replaced next year it looks like her hose is doing the same thing the main floor one did. For this year I was able to re thread lower than the breakage but next year she will need a new one.
@cath007 , slightly different but printers are the Bain of my existence some days. Trying to troubleshoot them from afar and everyone laughs at me when I suggest try unplugging it for 2 minutes and see if it resets.
I did manage to get a few small things done, mainly when I needed to walk away because all the numbers were looking the same. I emptied the dishwasher and bought up and folded the laundry.
Last night I made a Chicken Stir Fry with all sorts of veggies from the Fridge and I cooked the Ramen Noodles in the Stir Fry making it a one-pot meal.
Tonight we tried some of the Tofu I bought, I am still unsure what I think, the texture got to me after a few pieces but I know there are still other ways of cooking it I can try. I was kind of sad it smelled so good but it didn't have a lot of flavour.
Wrote our grocery list, not a lot we need but the list is long as I try to find the excitement in cooking again. I probably won't buy most of it but I know where it is on sale LOL.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

Good Afternoon Everyone,
Had to go into the office this morning, needed to meet with our LTL team to discuss a customs thing which turned out to be a lot simpler than I expected yay!!!!
Then off to meet with Marketing since we are building a new website and we need to feed the data through our System, that is set up now, YAY!!!!!
Chatted with our IT guy, he is working on a few things for me and I was done.
Decided to run to Costco because Mom needed more pads and well I was there I grabbed Toilet Paper, Chicken Dumplings, Mini Cucumbers, Collagen and All Dressed Chips since they were on sale. Also grabbed Vanilla Greek Yogurt, Plain Chips and Nachos as we are running low.
I also grabbed a Kirkland Cold & Sinus (Name Brand of Advil's Cold & Sinus) because I know about the death star but this had the start but at the start of the name instead of the top corner. Don't know what that means but grabbed a bottle to be safe honestly, these work better for me than the Advil ones and at a much better price.
I did want to grab some other groceries but even with a cooler thought it was best to get just the frozen dumplings home. Will need to go out another time for a few groceries. We have TONS of veggies so thinking it will just be some fruit and maybe some bread. I stopped eat toast but lately there is just something about Butter and Jam on toast (oh that reminds me also grabbed the Kirkland Strawberry Spread to try, it has been calling me since I saw it and have developed my obsession for Toast with Butter and Jam).
Back to work, trying to figure out all the numbers but needed a break as they all started to look the same.

A delightful run this morning to the ATM to deposit some cheques and then over to FreshCo. Scored peaches on sale for $1.44/lb.
Way cheaper than their 3 lb. containers priced close to $7.00. Bought a container of kiwis and a bundle of green onions that came
with Scene points, Stagg chili was $3.00 a can. ( nice for DS ).
The 2L Lactose Free 2% was $4.99, a few other things including a huge Pineapple for $2.44 . Weird on their reduced produce rack
they had one puny one for $2.00 . Seems a gamble to get the overripe one instead of spending an extra .44 to get a fresher large one.
I was able to redeem $30.00 of my points. Came home giddy!Last edited by walkonby; Thu, Aug 13th, 2026 at 03:34 PM.

TGIF! Blue sky and sunshine! A great day so far.
Have a busy work day but will feel accomplished when it is all done. Will pop out for a walk down by the lake this morning since I will be away this weekend and miss it! Just enjoying my coffee now and planning my day.
Yesterday I went to FB and spent $20 on 2 x strawberries 1 x raspberries 1 x bag frozen raspberries 2 x Kellogg's Cereal and 1 4L bag of milk (free with purchase of cereal)
RCSS- 1 whole chicken for $9.03 and 1 tomato for .43C
Came home and cooked up the lean beef in fridge with 1/2 onion that needed to be used up (had burger bowls for dinner)
Cooked up a package of bacon from the freezer (had a 1/2 toasted BLT sandwich for mid afternoon meal)
Dinner tonight will be the whole chicken with sides. Then DS will have chicken for leftovers tomorrow night that he can make a wrap or quesadillas with.
I tossed the remaining cabbage in the garbage can 10 mins ago but I just went and rescued it (it was wrapped in saran wrap!) and decided I will make a small coleslaw with it and the little bit of leftover onion that was going in the trash too. Will go perfect with dinner!
DS just popped home between classes to make something to eat...once he leaves then I will go down to the kitchen and prep the chicken for the oven, peel potatoes and make the coleslaw. Then it will be easy later to just have to turn on the oven and stove. (I know such a Fall dinner but it is what we have and easy
) I'm going to pop a load of laundry in the washer too and hang it to dry since the racks are empty and ready.
The fridge will get a good clean out today as well as I like to keep on top of it.
Ok time to put my runners on so I can take breaks in between work and get things done! Only working yesterday and today with the weekend now in front of me feels good! I really need to have more weeks like this....I have 15 days still to book off (not including vacation in November that was already booked) but can't see a full week needed off yet so thinking a few long weekends will be great!
Have a wonderful Friday and weekend!

@ Coupon girl- I had to google Jason Woo BB cream- I have never heard of that brand and I am a big fan of BB cream! I find foundation/concealer etc way too heavy/thick so never use it. I wonder if my SDM's are too small or if it is only carried in the city? I will have to look at mine and see if they have it!

Good Morning Everyone,
I ended up working late last night because I had to do out uploads for our new website and I was worried I was going to crash the system. I did not crash it but it took ALL night and I did not get it all done. So I got up early this morning so I could do the last upload and hopefully drive the car. The car did not happen because this one tested me, it would not go onto our test server which is where the website data is being pulled from, got it done just after we opened this morning.
I did take a bit of an early lunch before it got too hot and drove the car (I don't want to have to do it this weekend so I can focus on the basement). Since I was out I went to Food Basics and Zehrs.
At Food Basic I got 2 - 3-packs of Romaine and 1 x Rye and 1 x Rye with a Touch of Sourdough, I wanted two of the sourdough but they only had one so might have to PM at No Frills.
At Zerhs I got 4L Peaches, Cantaloupe, 2 x Lemons, 2 Aero Bars, 2 x Drumsticks, 1 x Ice Cream Bar, 2 x Hot Dog Buns, 1 x Cucumber Sushi
This was a bit of an odd shop, I was going to buy the 2lb bag of Lemons but they did not look good so just got 2 lemons a I want to make Greek Chicken. They did not have the Drumsticks I wanted so I got a simply dipped and strawberry (never had the strawberry, we will try them), ice cream bars, did not have the praline so got plain. The Sushi was on clearance I got 2 packs for $6, normally I wouldn't buy these as Mom won't eat them but treating myself.
Maybe I was hungry I was shopping I don't know but everything was on sale or clearance and I got some points so I can't complain.
Last night for dinner I made a batch of cheater Fried Rice, had a small tub of Rice and used Cooked Chicken from the freezer with some Dumplings and that was dinner.
Tonight I am thinking maybe burgers, will see what Mom thinks when she comes down.
Time to go back to lots and lots of number, Happy Friday Everyone.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,
