My friends 20 year old grandson is in ICU in Vancouver. He had a heart transplant as a newborn and the drugs that kept him from rejecting the heart have destroyed his immune system. He now has lymphoma and started chemo last week. We are all praying that he recovers.

@coupon girl I have always believed that if a marriage cannot work it’s better to walk away than try and stay in an unhappy marriage. I know it’s hard when kids are involved but sometimes it’s best for them too if there is lots of tension at home. I remembered when my sister wanted to walk away from her hubby she has d 3 kids under he age of 10 years but once she had the support of my parents and us siblings she knew she was going to be ok . Now they are grown men with family of their own.

I know this is not the out come you wanted . Just be there for your son and grand. Kids . I know you are an awesome mom and grandma.

@coupon girl , so sorry to hear about your son's marriage.

@harbie , I am with you, I literally said to a co-worker yesterday that I lost August and couldn't believe it was labour day weekend.

@lizzie bargain , your friend's grandson is my prayers.

    Good Evening Everyone,
Thank you for your kind comments.

I really was at a breaking point last night. I find it so funny because everyone tells me how I never ask for help but it feels like when I do ask for help (even when I am paying for that help) everyone around me still looks at me and tells me "I got it" or "I will figure it out, I always do." Last night I just really need to feel like I had help or support but well today is a new day.

I woke up at 4:30 this morning and could not fall back asleep. I took it as my sign to get up and clean which didn't go as well as I had hoped. Normally once I get going I am good but I dragged my behind all day but I did manage to clean the bathroom, do the laundry, reorganize the chest freezer (so much room now) and keep the kitchen clean (I will never complain about empty the dishwasher again).

I also took a break to make more of the Blueberry Greek Yogurt pancakes I made earlier this week. I doubled and batch, had some for breakfast and will freeze what I don't eat over the next few days.

I did end up stopping around noon, I am in another flare up and my skin just kept getting worse and worse as the day went on. So I took a shower and never got back to cleaning.

Dinner was Baked Sausage, Roasted Potatoes & Parmesan Green Beans.

Although I didn't get as much done as I had hoped tomorrow is another day.

    Happy Saturday everyone.

So much news in here. Not all of it rainbows and teddy bears but as sad as some of it appears atm it may be for the better down the road.
@coupon girl I think your DS and DIL were very considerate to keep the decision of their marriage ending from you until after your knee
surgery. I imagine the pain of it all was worse for your DS. Going forward they will need to focus on co-parenting their girls.
@lizzie bargain how completely unfair is that for your friend's sweet grandson. Prayers that the chemo works. ((hugs ))

    Good Morning Everyone,
Slow start to this morning over here.

I woke up at 5 am but couldn't keep my eyes open so ended up falling back asleep and waking up just 8 am which I know my body needed. But, there is just something about being up in the morning before the starts that I love and realized how much I missed when I was up early yesterday morning.

Switched up my probiotics again this morning in hopes of clearing up this flare up.

I also noticed they are on sale on Amazon so will probably order another bottle.

We will see where today goes but the original plan was the front half of the craft room in the basement where I am storing all my empty boxes along with some random things Mom needs to go through. I think this will let me see if she can/will get rid of things.

Also thinking I will make a Pineapple Upside Cake as I found some Pineapple in the freezer I need to use up.

But with that being said, we will see how the day goes. Mom said she would help me today so we shall see.

    Happy Sunday Everyone.

@flemeth and anyone else dealing with scene point issues here is what I have learned as I face so many issues between going between provinces. Use the missing scene points option on the scene app not through Sobeys app. Take a screenshot of the receipt and of the items in your app. I find a 90% success rate in the correction and it’s fast. Occasionally I need to reply to the email they send, but it’s a real person not a bot or group email and once I give further details it’s always corrected. It’s often $10.00 or more in points so imo it’s worth it to submit. Last week I made an error in my math in their favour and the agent caught it, sent me the approval email in less than an hour and the next day the points were showing on my app.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Slowly getting things done this morning.

I was up at 6:30 so I decided to take Mom's car for a drive. I wanted to drive it longer but I drove into bad fog which seems to only be getting worse as I drove so I decided best to come back home.

I have had breakfast, I have been skipping meals again and I need to stop. So breakfast has been had.

Yesterday nothing got done in the basement because instead I started going around and things that were living in the wrong place were put away.

Then I decided to tackle the new garbage can so I deep cleaned the area and the old garbage can. The old garbage can was posted for free online and someone is supposed to be coming this afternoon to pick it up.

GRRRRR, this new recycling program is not working for me, we are still 20+ houses sharing 6 carts. I got our regular recycling out but when I went to take out the packaging all of the bins are full and they were just picked up last week so another week and a half before they are emptied again. So now this huge box has been added to the pile in my basement.

I did get all the packaging out plus a bag of garbage from the basement out so it was nice to see things leave the house.

I will continue to try to get things to leave the house either posting them for free or on the buy & sell groups. Thinking maybe, just maybe I can help to recoup some of the costs of getting the basement done. It is going to cost more than I waned to spend and it is still doable but it will affect affect upcoming projects so any little bit will help.

Also maybe I can make some extra to put towards the bathroom and make the sit/stand shower within our budget as that would be best for Mom.

Time to see what I can knock out today.

    Happy Monday Everyone.

Oh my received a message that my 73 year old sister fell and broke her hip in Toronto and is now in surgery. Hoping for a quick recovery for her. She is a GP who retired 3 years ago so she should be motivated to do her physio in order to recover ASAP.

In my last text to her we were discussing my husbands rapid recovery from hip surgery. My last words to her were we take walking pain free for granted until suddenly you can't anymore. Seems somewhat prophetic now!

Oh dear!! @lizzie bargain That's so weird, you had an inside line on how
healthy pain free walking is....until it isn't. All the very best to your sis
and her recovery from her broken hip.
That particular breakage ( hip from a fall ) is the biggest fear both of my
    older sisters have.
