Saw the price of bi-colour corn rising to about $0.50 / ear, so I thought I'd get a last heap from NoFrill, where they were still $0.25

Sigh, today, I walked into a different NoFrill and they were clearing the bin by selling the corn for $0.10 each. On principle, I bought another dozen.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Woke up with a jolt this morning just after 4 am. I think my dream woke me up, I keep dreaming that I hear weird noises and wake up trying to hear them.

Got up just after 5 and started my day. Although starting my day was just curling up on the couch under my blanket as it was quite chilly this morning but I also enjoyed it and didn't want to close the window.

Work has been working, nothing major just the normal day to day things.

Posted a bunch of stuff from the basement yesterday so far the only things that has left is the garbage can but I will keep at it.

I got a little overwhelmed well being down their yesterday, I think I need to do the section method of just worry about one section. I don't know what it is but the getting rid of my boxes is very hard. I think it is because they are only cleaning the L and there are still other areas to sort. I am afraid I will get rid of them and then need them and we will go back into the "we can't do anything until you buy bin" circle we always end up in. I am overthinking, I know it.

There are a few bins I need Mom to sort and hoping that will make the room I need to work in the area. One step at a time.

But before I can think of the basement, it is a work day.

    Happy Tuesday Everyone.

Good Day! I am off work today but planning on staying close to home to get things done.

Yesterday went kayaking in the morning after my lake walk and it was so peaceful. I made a nice healthy lunch that I started to eat within 10 mins in!
This morning did my usual lake walk, all the town docks then walked Walmart and RCSS.
I am home now- just finished my yummy oatmeal and now will go tidy the kitchen/clean the fridge and figure out what we should eat over the next few days.

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning!
Productive morning so far. Ribs in the crockpot for the guys- Will make a bunch of sides to go with it- Homemade fries for sure to use up the last of a bag of potatoes. My dinner will be leftover chicken from last night with sweet potato and veggie of some sort.

I put a load of laundry in the washer this morning and have already hung it up to dry!

Posted and sold the storage container yesterday (that I found last week on side of road) EFT was received yesterday and it is on the porch now for pick up.

Busy work day but will take a break at some point to go for a walk. Staying out of the stores today so $0 spending today.
If I do go it is just to get my steps in and to look around but I won't bring any money
oh yeah- I saw asparagus at at @Walmart the other day for $7.77LB!!!! Crazy! it looked really nice but not for that price.

    Have a wonderful day!

Quiet rainy day. The good news I didn't leave the house so $0 spent. The bad news I didn't leave the house.....Tomorrow I will make sure to get out regardless of the rain.

Have homemade fries in the oven. Used up the last of the free bag of potatoes from RCSS from a few weeks ago (actually better then free- they refunded double what I paid for them and gave me a free bag!) . I have a new bag waiting from FB sale this past week ($1.88) Will be ready for mashed potatoes with the turkey I plan on cooking hopefully next week.

Now I am going to make some snack I just saw on FB. Blend dates/pumpkin seeds/cocoa powder/water and press mixture in pan. Top with melted chocolate.

Thanks @coupon girl ! I often forget to check when RBC GC's have the discount. I'll head in there now to get mine too!
Makes sense to do the redeem when you get the best bang for the points.

@walkonby thanks for pointing out the pie crust offer at Metro, I had totally missed that so popped in for the pastry as it’s too good to pass up at that price and when I am in Ontario the metro is super close so not a problem to stop. While I was at the plaza I took advantage of the SDM egg and butter offer. I bought 2 dozen eggs and a pound of butter for 10.97 and earned 4735 PCO, so it was totally worth the stop.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

    Good morning.

It’s been a frugal week but that’s because I’ve been working . The only spend was a fill up but scored $167.9 and other stations closer to home were $2!!!.

Off to work shortly and the only spend will be bananas at NF after work.

    Have a great day everyone

@harbie congrats on the gas deal. Ours is going down at midnight by .08 a Litre, which will make it close to $1.78 with that drop....just awful.

My frugal shops early this morning were at NF 24 cans of Franco American gravies, on for .79 each. 12 turkey, 12 beef. We were ALL out in the back room.
We were also all out of bacon. Bought 6 pkgs. of PC totaling $24.00 + 1 other brand @ $3.00. 2 different offers earned me back 9,750 points.
    ( $3.45 a pkg. seemed o.k. ) and another 10 lb. bag of spuds at $1.99
At FB there was one of DS fav. cereals ( Honey Bunches of Oats ) Bought him 5 @ $2.99, plus 30 Moi points on each box. Seemed doable.
Also grabbed 6 Molisana Passata on for $1.98 ea. and some .88 a pound tomatoes.

    RCSS
.99LB for chicken leg quarters. Bought 1 package for $2.85 (3 pcs) Not my fav but a cheap dinner protein!
Spiced them up and added onions and garlic cloves to the Dutch oven and popped in the oven. They are almost done.
Also plan on stocking up the freezer with the $2 PC frozen veggies (No Frills)- Green beans is our fav but will get a variety. Pm'd 3 Green bean and 1 Cauliflower this morning.

Happy Friday! Chilly start to the day but the sun is shining and the sky is blue!

Enjoying my coffee and planning my day. DS popped home quick to make something to eat so once he is out of the kitchen I will tidy it up and then have a quick shower and go for a nice morning walk down by the lake.

Dinner- There is ribs and chicken from the past 2 nights so the guys can fend for themselves tonight with leftovers.
Last night I had soup from the freezer with chicken. I really enjoyed the soup so thinking I will have it again tonight. I am craving a good salad so will grab a head of romaine (PM $1.94) and make Greek Salad to go with my dinner since we have everything else needed on hand.

Watching Flash food for a good produce box full of peppers....I hope to be making soup next week to stock up the freezer . Will make chicken soup from the bone/broth of the chicken I cooked yesterday- I tossed it all in a freezer bag and popped in the freezer for when I am ready. Have carrots/celery/onion and garlic bulbs so I am ready!

SDM- Check your offers. There are a few Flash Sale offers. I have $2.99 dozen Eggs and $3.99 No Name block cheese.

Keeping the grocery spending low this week- But I am stocking up on the $2 frozen veggies since to me that is a good deal- Something to add to dinner- and no worries about it going bad. With the price of everything I think these are good value. Not shopping is making me be creative and use up things we have.......I pulled Naan bread out for DS to make pizza the other day....there are 2 left in the freezer that I will tell him to make pizza with this weekend since he has a jar of sauce open in the fridge. (I wasn't buying more Naan bread till that package is gone!)

Bedroom cleaned! Went in to make the bed and just started tidying up everything! Future me will be happy at bedtime!

    Have a wonderful weekend!
