Glade $4 Coupon OK'd by Glade to get Tin

The $4.00 off coupons in NOT intended for use with the tins. I have posted about this several times. Clearly, Glade has changed their policy since people started using them for the tins, and when I (and several other SCers e-mailed them asking if it was legit or not). The e-mail I received is below:

"Thank you for asking about our coupon.

Please know this coupon is only for the original Glade® Scented Oil Candles starter kit. This coupon is not valid for the tins.

I apologize for any confusion this has caused.

I had come across your post and appreciate very much you sharing that information.
I was simply indicating that it has been a bit of a confusing journey regarding this coupon as there have inconsistencies with stores accepting these coupons and even with information provided by SCJohnson over the past few weeks.

I emailed them and I got this response:

Thank you for contacting us about the coupon you have for our Glade® Scented Oil Candles.
This coupon is not able to be used on the Glade® Scented Oil Candle Tins. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I will be sure to pass your comments along to our promotional department.
If we can help in any other way, please let us know.

I am sooo confused. First we can use it, which I have for 8 over 3 trips (I am going to put them in baskets for the womens shelter), and now we can't? Ugh!

OK I don't think this is really something to get so worked up over. I put up an email which clearly states that you can use them for the tin. It was not received very long ago. I can't see any problem with using them if they have said you can. I think it is up to each of you to decide what you want to do and to go with that.

I emailed and got the same response...HOWEVER...a couple of days later in the mail I received TWO $5.00 off ANY Glade product coupons in the mail. I was very pleased.
Was not expecting that. Thank you Glade! lol

I agree - it is very confusing! I hope my post didn't come across in any way other that the way in which it was intended - just to be a heads-up of sorts to my fellow SC'ers who may not know that the SC Johnson policy appears to have changed. Cheers!

I just used this coupon, on the tin holder, at Rexall Pharma Plus. The girl was hesitant at first, but scanned the product and said the abbreviation (when she scanned the tin) showed up as being a holder, so she accepted it. 3 of them, in fact.

In SDM it only scan as candle not holder, and product is not indicate as holder as well.
