Sad thing is people do do this. Normally they stock up on water and pop (or at least what I've seen at my store), and resell it at their store (generally a family run convience store). We also used to sell 10kg bags of rice, and many asian families used to buy like 40 bags, and obviously, they were using them at a family run restaurant... they definitely put a 2 bag limit on that after that one year...

I don't resell everything. I keep most of it and give away alot of the stuff I don't want/need. Anything else I will usually sell.

Unless you went & ate at these restaurants, how can you say "obviously, they were ..."
Half of my family is Chinese, and, whenever any of them saw a sale on large bags of rice, they'd go out and buy dozens at a time, and store them in the pantry.
Do you have ANY IDEA how much rice we asians eat? Pretty much every meal has rice as a staple.
Even being half round-eye, my family STILL goes through somewhere around 3kg of rice a month, and it's only me (the half-asian), my white bf, and our son (and occassionally my teenaged daughter).
By the way, the Chinese have been masters of squeezing every last ounce of value from a dollar for somewhere in the neighbourhood of 2000+ years.
Please watch those sweeping generalizations.Last edited by Kaldirris; Thu, May 14th, 2009 at 05:35 PM.
Better to remain silent & be thought a fool than to open your mouth & confirm it.

Hi there,
I am new to the site. I thought I was good at clipping coupons, but you have knocked me of my feet. Would you mind letting me in on where you get all your coupons? I pull them from save.ca and anyother place I spot them, but I obviously am missing alot. Any tips would be great times are getting harder and harder for my family and every deal makes a big differance around here.
Thanks

OMGoodness ... you are inspirational to hold your ground and find great deals. It is very motivating to see your brag and what to do when a problem arises! Thank you!

P.S. ... starting to hunt for ShoppingChannel GC's with no minimum purchase ...
