Lemon grass pork chops with rice and lettuce, eaten with a super yummy nuoc cham (Vietnamese sauce)!
The pork was pan fried but a BBQ would work too. I love the caramelized/charred bits!
Tonight its brown rice pasta with roasted tomatoe and mushroom sauce. I will also be sauteing baby bok choy and kale with garlic mmm
Tonight will be the chili I made yesterday - didn't end up having it then.

I'm thinking about trying a stuffed zucchini recipe sometime.
burgers with cut up veggies
It's always a surprise what's for dinner here.
Last night it was a roast beef style dish with a blob of mashed potatoes & well boiled baby carrots.
It's always fun to lift the lid off the tray & see.
(hospital style food........what can you do)
p.s. I miss you guys a whole bunch!
Blech! I feel for you. I spent 8 days in the hospital last summer and begged my parents to bring me real food after I think day 2 LOL! I still have a hard time eating cooked veggies after the rubber they served at the hospital. I got to the point by day 8 I couldn't even lift the lid of the tray the smell would just kill me. I hated meal times...Then they all called me the princess of the floor because I wasn't eating the food and was having home cooked meals brought to me! Once I got out I gorged on fresh salads, veggies, fruits, and sandwiches LOL! Seriously is it that hard to toss together a salad for people???
tonight was just a plain ol' frozen pizza. at least i remembered to take the cardboard off the bottom. :)
steamed salmon..onions, zuchinni, peppers with garlic fried with a litte EVOO.. whole wheat egg yolks.
soft tacos....not very filling and I'm starving so now am doing a cinnamon raisin bagel for snack LOL!

Salad: romaine lettuce, garden cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and smoked salmon with a sun-dried tomato vinaigrette.
Janetta, that prime rib looks sooooo good, I'm drooling, I love making a prime rib roast, you're right, so easy, a great oven meal. I made pork chops, smashed new potatoes and corn on the cob last night.
For tonight, not sure, dh wants to head out camping this afternoon, so I'll have to see, either way, a nice steak sound in order :)
Last night was Harvey's veggie burgers with fries and rings. Completely unhealthy. Completely delicious.
Mandarin lunch...sooooooo it counts as my dinner and maybe my breakfast tomorrow too!
If only I had stopped after the delicious California rolls!

DFiancé made spaghetti and easy tomato sauce (brown the beef, onion, garlic, peppers and add a can of purchased sauce). I made side salads. Boring but got the job done.
Brocoli, little new potatoes and beef ribs for the meat eaters:). I have given up on the vegan diet for them. We did it for 2 weeks then they revolted!!! Lol
Tonight was veg soup - had the base broth from boiling cabbage for holubtsi leaves this morning - so added leftover chopped cabbage, onions, carrots, rice, with lots of dill.
Then chicken wings and we tried Green Giant's Savory Selections - pasta and veggies in garlic sauce - not great, wouldn't buy again (tried because of BOGO + coupon). Not really saucy, just watery.
Banana's splits on the BBQ!

omg u guys make me hungry!!!
i have bourbon chicken cooking in the oven. Will saute some baby bok choy and garlic for a side dish. Hubby is out of the country so i stole some of his bourbon for my bourbon chicken. Hehehe
Grilling poutine? Wouldn't the gravy cause a lot of smoke? LOL!
BBQ steak tonight (the cheap stuff is running out!), with packet potatoes, and a salad.
Picked up some fresh corn at the farm where we picked onions and peppers today will have that and stuffed grape leaves that I made last night.
Sad to see that the farm where we were had a soil born disease wipe out 80% of the red pepper crop. Acre after acre of rotting red peppers literally liquifying :(. All his other crops were o.k. though, and we did get some beautiful red peppers from the good plants.
baked salmon asian style with chili and hoisen sauce on a bed of steamed rice.
Grilled cheese sandwiches & soup -- lazy dinner today !!
