There goes that pound and a half I lost last week.
Sweet marinated chicken from the grocery and couscous with vegetables.
I was at my store..and no ground beef....I barrelly head a dialogue the butcher had with a costumer..and definatellly because e-coli thing fear and the problem place...
Quebecese:Would you do ''pate chinois''...I want to do that because the patatoes are in sale this week..maybe I will go to a little independant meat place????
Cold day today...chili and biscuits hit the spot.
i ended up making creamy turkey & broccoli alfredo from a campbells cooking cookbook. it was pretty yummy, lots of leftovers for dh's dinners at work.
Again....dinner was leftover braised chicken thighs, chinese greens and rice.
Yummers! That chili looks SO warming and tasty marstec. I'm going to have to copy you very soon. I love chili in the fall. :)
Tonight we had sticky crock pot chicken drumsticks, which was surprisingly tasty. I thought it would've been spicier than it ended up being...but it was relatively tame which was a good thing for the kids. I did the spice marinade last night then tossed those in the crockpot before I went to work this morning.
DH ended up tossing another 6 pack of drumsticks in the oven with some homemade shake and bake when we had surprise company for supper. (hehe. I love my dad but he's got to learn to call in advance because tonight was a late work night for me!) And since DH loves to cook a variety of things for company, we also had mashed potatoes, potato wedges, corn, and mixed vegetables and mint chocolate chip ice cream for dessert.
Tomorrow is taco night. And I'm excited for taco night! :)
Had a late lunch yesterday of Pupusas and a Jumex Pineapple Coconut Juice. Was still full for dinner but since we were visiting didnt want to be rude to the hosts so managed to wolf down a few fries and fried chicken!
for lunch i will be doing whopper wednesday with an avocado.
Last night we had beet leaves mashed through potatoes with bacon and it was a real hit. A friend mentioned that she always uses the beet tops through mashed potatoes so I thought to give it a try and was quite surprised at the taste actually. My mom had given me a bunch of bags with steamed beet leaf tops (she never throws anything out!) and that is what I used. It was easy and mostly free as the potatoes also came from our garden :-) Also had home made applesauce with it.
Potato and leek soup followed by spaghettini, tomato and onion sauce and meatless meatballs .....which were yummy!
Tonight will be dinner " a la Alaska Airlines boardroom" ;)
We are coming home today and since I can't eat before I fly (too nervous) I am stocking up on FREE food before our next short flight (I just can't eat before the major leg of the trip).
So this is my first meal of the day and it's already 6pm
Last night I made cornflakes-encrusted pork loin chops (wow, they are good!), Rice-a-roni fried rice (I buy it once a year!), with sauteed veggies mixed in - onions, celery, carrots, mushrooms, and broccoli.
Tonight will be leftover chicken noodle soup, chicken stew and smashed potatoes.
This morning I'm going to use the sandwich press on my big boss grill. I'll make a peanut butter/banana sandwich, too bad I don't have bacon lol. ;)
I don't know about tonight just yet but I think maybe egg salad on a bagel. wooo living big over here...
^I should break out my panini grill, cabmonk. I bought it years ago and never got around to using it.
I made chicken cordon bleu, couscous and veggies.
Tonight will be a kale and spinach soup Mmmm Mmm Mmm
Yesterday I baked cheesecake. It took a long time to mix it up because that is when baby decided to start fussing.
Had a gathering to attend & was surprised when a person at the table picked up the entire tab. We had chicken wings.
Well, with this crappy weather we came home to :( I am thinking meatloaf and mashed taters with corn or something in the side???
I am so not ready for "comfort food" yet. I still wanna bbq:crybaby2:
probably just making pork chops, even though me and the hubby dont really like them my mom does. with some veggies and rice
tonight having fried ham slices, hashbrowns, and scrambled eggs, breakfast for supper tonight
still undecided...leaning towards eggs...well egg whites that is, with grilled veggies.
We are going to try this out tonight...I hope.

had a bowl of soup after work today that DH made on Wednesday. By golly, I was pleasantly surprised, it was scrumptious...and I don't throw that word around in his direction too often. He even made it salt free too so DD and I could have some.
Hamburgers with veggies and hummus.
Happy Friday everyone!
