:love1:
Left the weeks meals all for today to cook. Jumped in early to drain the many dried beans that had soaked overnight, but did the cooking of them in the huge crock pot this time, while I went to Metro for a few FPC redeems! Then returned to finish it off by making chili. Next took the 8 cups cooked rice out of the rice cooker and turned it into a shrimp and plenty 'o veg fried rice. Baked 2 huge acorn squashes again ( have been baking and eating those types for about 3 weeks now, lol...I am in a mood for squash)
Been sitting and avoiding making other stuff ever since. Thinking about a possible pasta dish using the Classico White Sauce, chicken breasts pieces ( with some baby peas....bad, I know starch), but I need opinions from the late sleepers here.
i think most peas in general have a low glycemic index, and pasta (al dente) has a medium glycemic index number, if i remember right. anyways, pasta is better for you than bread, even multigrain or whole wheat bread, when it comes to the glycemic index
sounds like an awesome meal to me!
i don't want to cook tonight, and i'm super hungry right now.
Went to Dad's for dinner for his Bday. Had beef with pickles over mashed potatoes and green beans with cheesecake with mixed fruit for dessert.

Tonight I'll make a ground beast thingee with onions, mushrooms, and whatever veggies I can find, in a mushroom sauce to go with leftover smashed potatoes.

hoping to have some meatballs, 'baked' potatoes, broccoli.
that sounds yummy Cabbie.. im hoping they work out. once they are done planning to freeze most for our party next month.
well I did end up making a GF pasta thing yesterday pouring the Classico white sauce over, but put Marc Angelo mild Italian sausages ( sliced them up), instead of chicken. DH and I were so shocked at how delicious it was for dinner last night...then we realized we were eating it while sharing 3/4 bottle of Shirazz ( red wine).
cabmonk, I couldn't agree more! Marc Angelo makes it very tough for me to consider the whole vegetarian thing. We used to get the pork meatballs for our pasta, but I have cut back quite a bit....the sausages are a must though, lol
Tacos tonight :)
Grilled strip sirloin that I am bbqing myself (in the rain) as DH is working late..roasted asapargus & squash ( all on sale off course, lol)
Wong Wing honey garlic pork with noodles.
Lazy Lasagna with a garlic bun. Don't know what it is but I cannot get enough pasta lately.
