Leftover lasagna, garlic bread & salad
Tonight I'm going to make rice, red salmon with shallots and garlic in a dill cream sauce, carrots and some homemade roasted garlic and cheese buns (taste similar to the ones from Red Lobster only better).
We ate at the Golden Corral tonight as part of our cross-border shop n eat excursion. I had a number of fantastic things for supper, not the least of which was waaaaaaaaaay too much fudge for dessert.
My kids said Golden Corral should come to Canada. Ha! I'm glad I have to drive 45 minutes west and sit through the long customs line in order to get there because then it's not easy nor convenient. Gawd. If Golden Corral ever came to Canada, their dessert table would be very baaaaaaad for my health. LOL.
Wow, all these above meals sound so delicious!
We had barbecued pork souvlaki burgers.
last night was corn pasta with my moms homeade sauce, gluten free garlic bread and a salad.
Tonight its gluten free perogies (found them in Buffalo!) with chicken breast on the bbq.
spaghetti with homemade sauce & someone had better make a salad.
burgers and buns both on sale at no frills this week with fries...kinda of boring but tasty none the less.
Soup and homemade pizza tonight - with leftover baked ham, sauteed ground pork, and whatever I can find to throw on it.
i bought salmon from sobey's , didn't smell fishy to me but when i unwrapped it oh boy i don't know if am sensitive to fish smell or what, anyways i marinated it with lemon ,pepper and olive oil, i cooked it the next day , still couldn't eat it didn't like the smell, what should i do? do salmon smell this way? bec i bought before from costco and ended up in agrbage . i am now confused how the salmon should smell and taste!!
how do u guys cook it?
Fish shouldn't smell fishy if it is fresh. That "fishy" smell comes from the degradation of the tissue. That being said, I don't cook fish myself because my fiancé doesn't eat it. But my Dad was always a follower of the sniff test. Is it easy to get fresh fish in more landlocked places (spoken from an oblivious Nova Scotian who generally can buy straight off the dock/boat).
Today I made homemade pirogies and cooked up some Ukrainian sausage to go with it. I also spiced up some chicken thighs with cajun spices and wrapped them up tightly and put them back in the fridge. I'm going to cook them up tomorrow night, by then the spices will have had time to marinate through the chicken.
