Beef mini pies, mashed potatoes and cauliflower.
Pizza tonight and a glass of wine.
Takeout cod and chips - our 'regular' place hasn't opened in their new location, so we are trying the competition to compare.
The verdict: Joey's Seafood was actually quite good. Compared to our fave Gibson's (not a chain, family-run) the two pieces of cod were a bit smaller, coating not as tasty nor as crispy, chips were very good but not excellent as Gibson's - bonus was the coleslaw from Joey's was excellent and comes with the meal, from G's the coleslaw is an extra buck.
So from both places, the meal is $14.
If we had never had it from Gibson's, I would have been totally happy with the Joey's meal - and husband agreed.
But we look forward to their re-opening soon, hopefully.
Yesterday I had fish fingers and fries, today i'm having roast beef sandwich, onion rings and lots of pickles.:)

What you call "Cod and Chips", is it anything like the British style below, or we talking fries and fish here? Hate when places mislead and call it "chips", when it is clearly Macdonalds like fries

^ close to the second one, British-style for sure.
You know, when I was growing up, we called all 'French fries' chips - don't know when that switched to everyone calling them FF.

I made a pizza casserole and some garlic fingers on naan bread. They were really good, just wish we had some donair sauce.
Homemade burgers tonight. Grabbed buns while at store so pulled homemade patties from freezer. Simple dinner. And now we have room for DQ :) Or make brownies and ice cream at home :)

I had a nap at supper time last night, so I bought a roast chicken at the CO-OP. We had it with corn on the cob, fresh sliced cucumber, and green grapes.

Lots of potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, onions topped off with extra lean ground beef and Campbells Italian tomato soup, baked for an hour. Really good and so easy to prepare.
Shipwreck is in the oven.
Harvest from my garden: yellow plums, strawberry, cherry tomato, blueberries and cucumbers. I will add the cucumber to my spinach salad with chicken strips and greek dressing tonight. The blueberries are only a handful and not enough to make a pie, so will use them to make muffins for tomorrow's breakfast.
