Made 9 fried chicken drumsticks & fries (no complaints & no leftovers) note to self make again (lol)
Minus 42 here today with the windchill. Stayed in and made a big pot of homemade soup and biscuits. The house smells sooo good right now. Yum Yum...Ym Yum. Can't wait :)
Tonight I made lemon/pepper chicken, steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes!
Tried a vegetarian dish tonight. It was a chickpea soup. I took a few pictures during the prep. It had a great nutty flavour! Loved it! The recipe can be found in the February 2013 issue of Bon Appetit (one of my favourite cooking mags) here is a direct link.

Pannabello Dr Oeker Pizza goat cheese and pesto with added tomatoes.
Yum, I agree! After the bone-chilling day here yesterday, too - son and husband were VERY happy to have the homemade soup I made, and it was very yummy. I made too much, usually just make enough for supper with a bowlful maybe left, and there's a whole dutch oven left - for later in the week, I guess!
Tonight will be chili - and, if I can get them done, Italian bread wedges. Son had bought a variety of cheeses for snacking, and realized asiago is not the kind of cheese which tastes good for that purpose, so I need to use it up - should be okay to use it instead of mozza on the bread, I would think?
Natalka,
Asiago is a lot more pungent than mozzarella, and I don't think it would have the same melting properties as mozzarella - try some by itself before putting it in a dish.
homemade beff stew that is cooking in my slowcooker
for lunch, i'm making braised chicken thighs with homemade gravy.
