When I try explaining the way people intended on using the B1G1 and the $6 off coupons together to my bf, he shakes his head and agrees that that is clearly not what the manufacturer intended. And when I tell him that people get away with this he is really surprised.
It is meant to be buy one, at full price or on sale even whatever, and then get the second one free. Not use the $6 off and then get another one free.

My SDM is great with me, I try to go to the same cashiers and I don't shop much at night either when it's the part timers on.
People need to understand some of these kids only work a few hours a week, there is NO way they can be knowledgable about EVERY deal going on that week....plus a lot of them are young and don't really expect to be an SDM cashier the rest of their life either so why would they put 110% effort in.

Just an update, I called SDM head office, and explained the situation. She said that she would follow up with both stores as to why they were unnecessarily rude. But she said that unfortunately, it is up to each store to decide whether they want to accept any printed coupons, even the ones from SDM.

The buy one get one free coupon covers TWO products. So how can you stack an additional coupon on top? I politely disagree that this scenario is legit. Sorry.

Been there, accused of that! Although I must admit it took very little argueing to convince the cashier that they weren't. I was trying to use the Glade coupon. I pointed out that Shoppers sends coupons via email, so it's not inconceivable that other companies do!
I wonder if the fact that each SDM is independantly owned complicates having a fixed coupon policy.
I have only 1 SDM that I can shop at, so I loathe making a scene or alienating the cashiers. It's not like I can go elsewhere, and it's not like they have an ever rotating string of cashiers. Sometimes you just have to breath deeply and suck it up.

b1g1 free seems to me to be a deal of it's own. I would never try to put another coupon on top of that. I disagree that companies would know this and give out multiple coupons to let us monopolize the product. I always felt they did multiple coupon deals to make sure everyone gets one coupon or another in order to save.

Wow, some of you didn't have good experiences. I had printable ones and they wouldn't scan but they would type in the number so no problems. So far so good.
Hopefully things turn into positives! ALL of them.
