Oh my GOSH! I'm so sorry that everyone out east have to pay so much for milk! That is outrageous...I can understand paying crazy prices in far north (not likely to have dairy farms up there and distance that the milk has to travel to get there...though it isn't right to charge so much) but wow...would not have thought that it cost so much in Eastern Canada. That is aweful!

I'm brand orientated too as I'm a Scotsburn girl if I can help it. A friend of mine who runs a dairy farm told me that most dairys in Cape Breton or at least his dairy farm sells to Scotsburn so it keeps me with that brand. I do buy others on occasion but if the choice is there I'm going for Scotsburn.

Thanks for your concern. I know in other places and in the States it is a whole lot cheaper that is for sure.

Wow, that's crazy! I bought 4L of milk at SDM for $3.84, yes it was a sale but they are usually under $4. The other stores tend to be a little more but not much. I live in North Bay, Ontario, just about 3 hours North of Toronto.

I'm still picking my jaw off the ground after I saw the rediculous price you guys have to pay. Yikes!

The price in BC is generally around $4 - $4.50 for 4L jugs.

In Washington State it is really cheap in comparsion to even BC. I often see it advertised at $1.89US a gallon(3.785 litres) or less.

It is actually $1.47 a gallon this week at the Cost Cutters in Blaine Washington(just over the border) with a coupon in their flyer

Some of them are, not all of them. For example, the company could be split with half union (factory), half salaried (office).
