Wow lucky you. Paul was always my fav. He really seems to be back on track now that he has dumped that crazy woman. Curious, what was the age range for the crowd?

Ages ranged from eight year olds to 70+!
One lady who was just a bit ahead of us, she was in her 60s I think and walked with a bit of difficulty on the way in. I bet she's not walking at all today, she danced pretty much the whole time, two and a half hours! Of course she was also well-fueled with beer and I *think* she was among those smoking questionable substances.
It was amazing how orderly everyone was. There were a few who were too drunk or stoned to stand by the end, but mostly everyone was just enjoying the show, both young and old.
I was a fair distance away, but they had giant video screens so you could see what was going on up on the stage and the sound was great. Remarkable how he can sound just the same today as he did 30+ years ago.

That's so awesome you got to see him!!!
My sister and husband travelled from here (Saskatoon) to Winnipeg to see him several years ago, they had an absolute blast and are in their late '50s. Prime Beatles ages!

He brought the 78th Highlanders pipe band on stage with him for Mull of Kintyre.
Live and Let Die was pretty amazing too:

Oh, gosh Zonny, being there for Mull of Kintyre must have been amazing. Thx for the link - I cried anyway, singing along with Paul! I cry every darned time I hear the song, or sing/play on the guitar. Sheesh, I don't know what it is about it...

Ok, I couldn't help myself - I watched it again, and cried again (what the heck?)!

Glad you had a good time! Sounds like fun.
Thanks for the links.
I saw him years ago here in Toronto. My friend is a die-hard Paul McCartney fan & dragged me out. Yes, she converted me into a die-hard fan too.

It was kinda funny, after Calico Skies, Sir Paul commented on how hard it was to concentrate and remember the words sometimes when people in the audience were holding up distracting signs, like, "Please sign my arm so I can get it tattooed!" The camera panned over to this 19 year old girl who was in the crowd near the stage, holding this very sign. He invited her up on stage and did indeed sign her arm.
She was so excited, hugged all the band members before leaving.
In today's local newspaper, it showed her at the tattoo parlour back in California (where she's from), actually getting her tattoo.

That's wild about the tattoo! At least it wasn't her boob...
