called civic holiday here in ontario, wondering why we
don't have a day to celebrate the end of slavery -
although i heard there was a freedom toronto transit
happening on the subway ---- not much on the news about it.
there was a caribbean carnival day which of course is very popular
and extremely colourful and fun looking - person who was the head
of it used to live on the same avenue as my mom.

although unfortunately a young man was run over by a float truck
and died, i'm sorry to say.

about a million people were there, yikesy almost as much as
pride day - not so much nudity though darn, haha.

myself having a quiet day outside, finishing novel, and hoping
the fast mad cat does not get another little sparrow and almost
a morning dove, shootso. hate that it is my fault sort of as
i love to see the birds, hence have feeders, bath.
