Oh yes. Usually I am on here non stop for hours a day, especially in the Tea room, adding my thoughts and comments, but now I am wraping up the end of my pregnancy and have been quite busy.
Before I keep going on about what has been happening, I want to thank all my fellow SCer family for supporting me from the day I was told i would never get pregnant, to all my health issues and right up until this point. Your prayers, thoughts, cards, and all around help have been awesome.
I don't need to go into all the details I think. Most of you know all the complications I have had, anemia and seizures being the worst of them. Well, we have discovered that my seizures are related to my drop in iron, and my injections have been bumped up as well as having to take suplements. Still, I am getting up to three seizures a day, a mix of Grande Mal and Partial Complex.
Toby has decided that he wants to play tricks on me and all the doctors. At 32 weeks I went into labor, but was too early to deliver, so I had to just ride it out until they could stop it with medications. 36 hours of hard labor to be exact, and nothing to show for it when I was finally released from hospital five days later. (That is okay, he still needed to grow)
Well, we just would up going in again the other day in full on labor. I was dialated 4cm and they said, "Get ready, you are having this baby!" About 12 hours after labor started, it stopped. We tried to get it going again (walking, cold water, hot showers) but no luck. Again, I got sent home.
Went to see my OBGYN on Tuesday and she was shocked that I was walking around at 4cm. But the oncall doctors didn't want to induce because I am not at full term. But bless her heart, she is not going to let it ride out past 37 weeks because of the danger posed to baby and me with the influx of seizures.
So on the 17th, I will be going in for an induction, and if things don't progress smoothly parhaps a csection.
I am 7 days away from having my Toby barring any unforseen circumstances. He may even come sooner since I am so dialated.
Wish me luck! This thread is currently associated with: N/ARemember that even though pets are here for such a short time they teach us things we would never be able to learn in many lifetimes on our own.

Oh cait, thats' great to hear, glad everything is going well for you...I had a csection after 16 hours hard labor, and because she was 9lb2oz, she wouldn't come out as I was too narrow...I was really glad to have the csection after all that and have to say it was an easy recovery.
I wish you and your family all the best, and can't wait to see your new bundle of joy. What a blessing!
Take care, keep us posted.

My goodness, glad things are going well, and the end is in sight for you!
A week, gosh that's exciting!
I remember when my dr. told me on my due date that I would have to be induced three days later - it certainly brought reality in focus much more than it already was, because it gave a definite day of the birth! Ended up after I was in labour 10 hours, my pelvis was just too narrow (who knew, I'm a 'fluffy' woman, lol!), so things were not progressing well. Then the fetal heart rate went down really low, and I had to have an emergency c-section - the cord was wrapped around his neck twice, but he was healthy and hearty!
Good luck, enjoy these last days as your world is going to change in a wild and wonderful way soon!

Thank you for posting - I have been thinking about you and wondering how you and your baby have been doing. I am so happy for you; who knows, you may deliver earlier and share a my baby's birthday (Sam is turning 3 on the 16th.).
You and your family have faced a difficult last couple of months, and I am so glad the outcome will be a healthy happy little boy joining your family. All the best to you and yours. The average dog
is nicer
than the average person.
