No it's not sketchy. That step is completely optional. IF you want, you can have luckysearch send an invitation to all the people in your e-maill address book asking them to join you. A lot of sites do this and of course it needs your e-mail password if you want it to access your address book. Swagbucks has the exact same thing and also asks you for your e-mail password. If you don't want to, just skip the step. Personally I would never give out my e-mail password, but that's just me...

Don't forget, they need to input a valid address and phone number in their profiles as well. You need this info inputted so they can send you your prizes.

So how many people are actually doing the reward ladder? It might be a good idea to keep an active list of people who's ladders are active on the first post. That way, new people signing up can join where they will be they will have the greatest impact... If everyone is interested, I can do that... I'm thinking something like this:

Reward Ladder: Level 3
Requirements: 5 referrals who sign up 5 people each
Time left: 3 days
Referral Link: (insert link here)

I know we aren't supposed to post links, but maybe an exception could be made for this one post... It would just make sense to have everyone's referral link on one page for easy access.

Obviously the time left would be my best guess based on when I receive the most current info, but I'll try my best

I'm really confused here. Apparently, I won again (???) - I'm never this lucky so don't know how I managed that one. Here's where my confusion starts (well, ok, gets worse - the critters will tell you I'm easily confused). After I won, I got a "This search returned no results" message. If I click the blue Web tab beside the orange Images tab, above the search field, & click search again, I will get results. Has my win somehow set the search parameters to Images only? Does my question make any sense?

It just changed by itself. I'm wondering if it was trying to slow down my searches after the win? Since I won 2x in 2 searches, they were trying to break the pattern I was in, that somehow they had locked onto my info & need to break the cycle, or their computer keeps picking the same entry? Just seemed really weird.

This morning, it's been set back to the way it usually is. I wonder if I was doing too many searches too quickly? Course it was no different than all the other days when I didn't win.

Now let's see how long this lucky streak holds out. The cat needs some new pajamas. Actually, it's too warm for PJs...though he does have a dog coat that looks like PJs - we're a bit weird, we live downtown in a big city, what do you expect. Actually, I'll be taking the cat out later to watch the tourists, they seem to think only people in Toronto have a cat on a leash.

I don't think it would have anything to do with trying to break your cycle... The system is not like swagbucks where awards wins by user/ip address and time. Luckysearch works by predetermined times picked by their system ever day. You search at that time and you win.

Found that on the site...so if I refer one person after completing 4 rungs (for free by validating and stuff) that person has to refer someone too?

That might be new... I don't remember seeing that before. It's not even represented that way in the chart above that paragraph you quoted. Perhaps too many SCers were getting that easy first 500 points

To complete my level 1 ladder, I just needed to refer one person, and that person did not refer anyone else.

Edit - I used the "contact us" form to ask them about the discrepency. I'll post their reply once I get it.
