One of my son's friend has gone to Germany for the summer to work at his aunt's ostrich farm - so I've seen very cool pics of the countryside and animals they have, big operation, and they have a huge restaurant (serves other things than ostrich!). He sent us lots of pics of babies and adult ostriches, too, but they are on my son's FB and I can't get at them.

I thought shots like that were fake somehow, but some pics the friend sent were just like this - that odd expression! I was just aw-ing and ooh-ing all over the place...

I took this pic when we visited a garden centre in ThunderBay a couple of weeks ago....HOW cute is that face??!
My hubby wouldn't let me take her home. Brat.
She let me touch her nose....

There's an artist named Nancy Noel who paints those children-angels...Our DD has quite a few of her framed prints, and one I gave her for Christmas, hand-signed to our DD's name, and her signature!
Anyway...she has a painting of an alpaca...which is absolutely magnificent!
It's the head of an alpaca, back-lit with sunshine....I think the name of the print is "Cria"...which is what baby alpacas are called. I tried to find it, but her site is down for construction...It's so cute...I hope I can post it here one day....

There is this boutique in Montreal that has a lot of her prints....
if I had the $$$ I would buy them all, they are BEAUTIFUL imo
