With the above kitten video, one of the reasons he's so frantic about keeping that meat is that at that age, they have just been introduced to real food - so probably at that point he had only tasted plain bits of chicken - so that meatball was like a big steak to him! (we did not give him the whole meatball to eat, though, just bits!)

Yes, that was Pepsi, we had him for a few years. Here he is all grown up, he's the dad you see looking over a different set of kittens - his own.

Oh, I had to watch Pepsi as a kitten again, with his gigantic meatball..lol...how he was protecting his new feast!! And you know I'm a dog person, but how cute he was watching over his little ones, and again...kittens are absolutely munchable!! Looks like you have a lot of fun with them.

Regarding kittens becoming cats, I mentioned that to our DD and she said once they become cats they're still 'babies', just like Jenny is still my wee Jenny-baby...so I guess it's all the same. But really....little ones are still the sweetest things!!

Calgary Zoo welcomes female giraffe calf

Oct. 23 - Carrie the reticulated giraffe gave birth to her calf yesterday morning, and the “little one” is thriving, wobbly taking her first steps minutes after birth.
