Sometimes when you bake a pie you don't meet with success,
If you cook for an extra half hour or so, it can cause distress!
For a pie that is a bit well done, is still one you can serve,
But to serve your homemade blackened pie would take alotta nerve,
The smell of pie burning in your kitchen seals your fate right there,
You think of all the time you took & how you rolled with care,
But, I have some advice to offer, if this ever happens to you,
Have yourself a shot of brandy & you'll feel nearly good as new,
Also the broil setting is one you should avoid.
Cause if you pie gets really burned, you just may feel annoyed!
