Good morning, everyone. Sun is nowhere to be found. I think the cat ate it.

I’m proposing a Friday event that we’ve never held before,
We’ll meet in the lobby on the right on the main floor,
At that time, we’ll go over the rules of play,
& commence our tournament without delay,
One marshmallow launcher per Smart Canuck,
I hope you’re a good shot, or at least have lots of luck,
Should we have the girls against the guys?
If we made co-ed teams would that be wise?
You get points for accuracy & dings square in the chops,
You can play for keeps & pull out all the stops,
A shot to the derriere is a good thing too,
Be careful, cause you’ll never know who’s aiming for you,
I hope the game doesn’t get messy or sticky,
Cause cleaning up marshmallows can be a little bit tricky,
When the game has concluded, we can even have a roast,
& award to trophy to the one who has scored the most,
We’ll truly have a blast in the literal sense,
So I’ll see you downstairs & our games can commence!

Good morning, everyone. Anyone recognize this poem?
Fog by Carl Sandburg
The fog comes
on little cat feet.
It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.
Btw, there should be a train in the distance in the pic, not that you can see it.

Would it be wrong to leave a pair of soft soled slippers outside my upstairs neighbour's door? I am sick of hearing the clopping around all day since the colder weather has arrived....to make it worse she seems to pace back and forth a lot.

Jojo, that would be a nice RAOK!!
Andit, yup I thought of that poem yesterday when we had fog in the morning, then again at night. Fog this morning isn't that terrible, but we do have lovely hoarfrost.
It's 10 a.m. and minus 5.

So I just bought the show stopper today from the shopping channel. KitchenAid Pro 600 Stand Mixer reg price 699.99 on sale for 399.97. This is my gift for my cousins wife for christmas. I told her flat out I bought it for her for christmas. I think she thought I was joking so it'll still be a surprise, but she did say it would be nice to have one and made this little sound of glee when thinking about it.
I thought about it and thought about it and then thought about it some more before clicking submit order. I bought the pearl copper colour. Was it a good purchase, you tell me,lol. I forgot it includes free shipping.

I just heard a song that I've heard hundreds of times over the years & never could quite make out what the singer was singing. So today I decided to check out the lyrics on the net. Apparently, I have a very naughty mind, given what I thought he was singing is very different from the official version!

Wang Chung's Dance Hall Days. These are the "official" lyrics:
And in her eye two sapphires blue
And you need her and she needs you
I have NO clue why I thought the line was
"& in her mouth you suck past blue
Cause you need her like she needs you"
Maybe I've been watching too many vampire movies?

Wowsers, lucky her! And you chose a great colour! There will also be a rebate that comes with that, so it will lower the price even more for you.
That's quite the expensive gift!
Oy, a KA stand mixer has been on my wanted list for years, but I wouldn't ever dream of getting one of those models- it's really powerful and can pretty much do anything.
What a sweetie you are!
