I only knew her for about 4 years from working at the hotel but she was a very nice person. I had that stupid thought with tears in my eye's, geez why am I crying. Her son is in a band called neverest. She was sick in sudbury before she died and the band pulled up to the hospital in their tour bus I think after a trip across the country. A couple of his band mates sang at the funeral.

Just got back from the funeral for our hotels former GM, she was 49 when she passed away New years day. I cried like a little girl. However I am so grateful now that I at least had a chance to see her one last time a few months ago when I had lunch with someone that used to work at the hotel and she walked in with her 2 sons.

Really? Hmmm, maybe it depends on where ya go. I found I couldn't get anything but standard meat & potatoes type meals (well, all gussied up & served with veggies). Haven't been to the States in a few years, but I remember going to one large US city & the locals bragging about their "ethnic" restaurants (about a dozen Chinese take outs & a Greek diner). When I asked how authentic the food was (whether it was North Americanized), & whether they served dim sum, they looked at me like I had a hole in my head. Then again, Greek dim sum would be unusual.
