Anybody else have crazy birds outside which hit the windows? It just happened again, scared the *&^$ out of me, but it flew away. This happens half a dozen times a week at least. I did some research and it seems like the Mountain Ash berries from the tree across the street get fermented, then the birds eat them and get a bit drunk, then fly right across the street right into our picture windows. Haven't had any die this year, but last year we did. Most often they fly away, sometimes they are stunned, lay on the ground for a few minutes, then fly away.

hmm....that explains a lot! lol You have to wonder if they have the same experience as a drunk person and they don't remember hitting the window so they don't learn? poor birds.

LOL Andit-I am getting used to this stuff now because it has been falling for the last couple of days now. The stuff yesterday melted in the late afternoon but I don't know about this stuff. It is only 0 right now and is our high for today I believe so I don't know it is going to do much melting.

The snow we got during the day yesterday and overnight melted. Somehow with it getting colder and colder now, we aren't going to stay that lucky.
Today I will say goodbye to my flower planters outside - I think it's their last day. I sure enjoyed them this year.

and it is still snowing. by tonight I wonder what it will look like? It has snowed more since this picture also but I am too chicken to go outside and take another picture right now! lol I am cold even inside!

I'm not looking forward to the mess again. I don't have any boots, either. Oftentimes I just wear runners, but I only have summer Vans now, so they will be useless in snow!

I`m exhausted & ready for a nap. Lily dog & I went up to our rooftop patio to run around (of course I had to do most of the running - apparently the rules are that whoever throws the toy has to fetch). Then climbed down 8 flights of stairs to come home - the exercise is all part of my daily (haha) regimen. Quincy cat was smart & stayed in bed.
