Opera tonight, dinner with parents tomorrow, dinner at a friend's place (with his family) on Sun, dinner with another friend whose family is out of town (but she had to work & couldn't go) on Mon. Sheesh, for someone who doesn't have a life, I'm busy this weekend.
Oh, & I'm 41, never married, never cooked a turkey (or even a chicken) & have somewhat limited cooking skills. So there.

When I was little I grow up with my Mom's brothers( they where 7, 9 and 16 years older then me) all would become chefs. When I was little and they babysat they made me help cook, since they didn't want they next men that got me to have to cook for me.
. Funny becasue all my ex-boyfriends and now husband thank them for my skills in the kitchen.
I cooked my first turkey ( for Christmas) when I was 13 by myself. My mom stopped cooking when she got sick so I took over. My dad is from the generation where men only made toast.

Getting ready to make a big batch of pastry. DH and I are having a tourtiere bake-off...his mother's recipe versus my grandmother's recipe. But he cheated and used a lb of pork sausage meat in his mixture. Grrr!

Busy organizing my pills & sorting them into my pill containers. I'd call it a cheap thrill, except the meds cost more than my mortgage.
I really need a life.
