My cat is terrified of thunder, lightning, and fireworks. He always runs and hides in the closet.

Same, the cats go hiding. At first they are intrigued by the light show, then ZOOM!

My cat used to sit with the dog to watch the lightning. Then one night, he was sleeping when a loud clap of thunder woke him (well, all of us) - he went running & crashed into my table knocking it over. Then he ran over & crashed into the dog, knocking her over, then kept running & crashed into me, swearing at me (good thing I don't speak cat). It took me an hour to calm him down - poor fellow's tail was almost as big as the dog. Luckily, we had a series of storms that month, so I got him used to the thunder & lightning again - he just ignores it now.

& while I did feel bad for the poor boy (he had a bruise on his leg), it really *was* funny (especially since there was no real harm done).

The low rumbling thunder isn't too bad but that loud, clapping thunder scares the living daylights out of my cat and he makes a bed for himself in the bottom of the closet.

Parades go by on my street a couple times a year and he likes to sit at the window and watch the floats.... but then when the bands start with loud trumpets and drums he jumps down and it's back to his cave again.

What should I do?? My sister heard the 3 cashiers at the superstore outwardly complaining about me and all the coupons I use.I was in the other day to ask for the Quaker MIR and yet again they had no clue about what I was talking about.I am fuming mad!! I think I am going to the manager to complain about them.
