I went to a school like that. No scrunchies, hair bands, ribbons, barettes - if you wanted to keep your hair out of the way, you had to use either a rubber band or a plain black bobby pin. & no jewelry - I had to get a doctor's note to be allowed to wear a med alert bracelet.

Oh & a vest over a school issued white shirt, even when the temps hit 35+. & no a/c!

oh yes he has a vest too. Hes a bit of a rebel and growing his hair long..we'll see how long before they tell him to chop it off! He already begging and pleading he doesnt wanna go there for high school when hes older. He wants to go to a public school! If he only knew! I wont let him lol

I'm in a cranky mood this morning. A play I wanted to go see is cancelled thanks to the protesters vacationing in my town. Clearly the anti-capitalist darlings have never been to a communist country, or they'd know that thespians are valued there.

Last day of school today for DS and one of his "friends" thought it would be funny to draw with black marker on his uniform shirt. I am not amused. Gee I wonder what the principal will do when I use it for show and tell at the governing board meeting tonight.

I had my BIG interview today and by the end of the day they gave me a verbal job offer . I have to give them my answer on Monday, but of course I am taking it, this is what I went to school for....this is a career.

Now the real fun begins, starting a new job and moving in the next 3 weeks . It also means a lot of shopping for furniture. Thankfully I have family in the area who are willing to take me in if my apartment isn't ready in time.
