Sadly this last night of chanukah almost turned deadly.
One of the candles fell from my menorah and started a small fire. Its not too major but there is some serious smoke damage.http://www.amazon.com/gp/cdp/member-...stRecentReview

Remember that Santa does review your behaviour. It's time to print out your Christmas Application to see if you qualify for something nice. The review committee has been working non stop over the last couple of weeks.

What does Satan do with all the letters dyslexic kids send him at Christmas asking for toys?

I went to do some boxing day shopping today and one store I went to wa s acomic store I had used to go to before.
What a difference time makes.
Now all their big bargains were gone, the discount was 10% only and 20% for store members, and they kept pressuring me to buy.
I left and later went to my LCS (local comic shop), there I found a book I had been looking for for over a year and ahalf, as well as an out of print tmnt collection.
Twice the discount plus at US cover price instead of canadian cover price, with bonus books thrown in as well as the best part, they asked me what I was looking for but did NOT pressure me to buy anything. I knew there was a reason I switched LCS.http://www.amazon.com/gp/cdp/member-...stRecentReview

I happen to like fruit cake it is packed with delicious flavour,
Fruits soaked in brandy, rum (or both) may be an acquired taste to savour,
I despised it when I was growing up; Mum made one every year,
She made it a couple of months in advance & her efforts were so sincere,
Cranberries, cherries, currents, pecans & molasses,
How is it those wholesome ingredients can be dissed by the general masses?
Topped with marizpan icing & you know it lasts for a very long time,
& who else but your old friend Loocie would commemorate fruit cake in a rhyme?
Making them takes dedication & might I say quite an expense,
I've even heard consuming fruit cake can make one far less tense,
So when the kettle whistles, I'll make us a pot of tea,
Please stop by here anytime & enjoy a slice with me!

Poor Kevin, Keira, DH & Patty got clobbered with a wintery wallop,
& when we are talking snow-ology that is ever so much more than a dollop,
I hope they formed a clearance team in the name of aching backs,
Too bad that in La Belle Province, excessive shovelling isn't a deduction tax,
Think of all the snow activites that all of you can do,
& since you have so much of it, here is a cash incentive for you!
