I really hate pain. It's a pain in my butt... usually a pain in my back and head... but you get the drift.

I put my back out this week... sweeping. Yup, sweeping the sidewalk out front (I'd gardened during the day and mowed the lawn) but the motion of the sweeping, put my back out. For 2 days I got no work done. What a drag. I hate that. Today, I got some more gardening done... but a bit at a time. I really hate having a body that is much "older" than I am.

Thank you, it has been a difficult day but when I read some of the other threads,I realise my own problems are miniscule compared to others.

Bedtime which will be earlier than usual should bring relief.

God is good no matter what.

So true, but sometimes it`s hard to keep the faith when things keep piling up. Hope you have a better day tomorrow.

hi again everyone. I mentioned somewhere about my nerves causing sensations and stuff and they are regenerating I think and people told me to talk to my specialist about it and he finally sort of got back to me. I am being sent for an xray now to check things. I don't know if this is just a make sure everything is good but he isn't worried or he is thinking something might be not right. I don't know which one. So I suppose i have to wait and see what the xray says and stuff. I am in alot of pain right now and just want to complain about it. I am sorry tho. It could be my own fault of overdoing it. But I wish things would get better quicker.

I hear you, life is a real juggle when you have pain.
You don't want to do too little and you don't want to do too much.
When you figure out the balance I'd sure like to know.
Take care of yourself,it sounds like you're in good hands.

Sorry to hear you`re in such pain Dealsniffer. It is hard to be patient when you want to do things. It`s so easy to overdo and then we pay the price. I hope there are better days ahead for you.

thanks you two! If I ever find out the equation for perfect balance Skippy-I will let you know! I have a long ways to go though I think before figuring it out. I hope your pain is not too bad right now. I am sorry I have not been very supportive lately. I have been dealing with a bunch of stuff and have really been getting caught up in my stuff and I am remembering how bad that is to do because it gets depressing. The stuff keeps circling in my head and then I feel upset. I find though that Felix my cat helps with cheering me up. How are you doing CrochetLady?

Well said! I feel like I am in a 75yr old body today! Not moving very fast at all. In a whole lot of pain and possibly part of it is my fault from trying to do too much stuff. But there is so much to do and it keeps staring me in the face! Oh and the dandylions are taking over everything. I am trying to do something about them but I am not getting very far-my back is in so much pain. So in order to lesson the amount of pain I have to walk real slow and careful that I don't take too big of steps which makes it hurt more. Sorry-I am just so mad at my body right now. It is holding me back. The weeds must be laughing-they know I can't get at them all. Oh and I think the ants and the weeds are in cahoots (is that the right word?) with each other. The ants build hills around my perennials and kill them and make way for the weeds to take over! But I have weapons. lol I just am not able to use them very fast. lol I think I have killed many more ants than they have killed my plants. So that should mean I am winning right? lol There are also many more ants than I have perennials though. darn. lol Maybe I should rest first before doing more-then I am better able to fight those little pests!

Rest, thats the key so I have been told. I have learnt my lesson about overdoing it for this week. I am back to taking max doses of pain meds, adjusting insulin because of bad crash, and to top it off I have a cold and I am using up my stockpile of tissues and will need dh to go shopping for me because I do not trust driving right now. I am about ready to give up stop taking all the meds and see what happens. I want ME back again and I am mad my body is not co-operating with me. Just when I think I have things under control something else comes along.

A whole thread on pain suffers. Well after reading all the posts Im not the only one suffering in this part of the internet world. Well let me start I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis last June (took them almost 5 years to figure it out) my first symptoms started when I was about 15 yrs and got worse up till I was diagnosed right before my 20th bday. Started with knee pain & hip pain gradually went to my back. Around 18 I started to get severe abdomen and stomach pains (yet it was all in my head or I was pegnant - funny still havent had that baby). I was in and out of doctors and hospitals and they all just shrugged it off. The pain got so bad I finally went to the doctor refused to leave till they saw what happend- I ate and fell over with pain. I paid hundreds in tests just because the doctors didnt think it was really anything serious. Had a colonoscopy last June and wow to their amasement it wasnt in my head. Ive been on meds since last June they work most times. Ive had to restict my diet (especially during a flareup) and jsut deal with the pain everyday.

TidyTaurus I really hope you do feel better soon! My goodness it sounds like things are rough for you too! So I am not the only one who overdoes it? lol I figured it was not just me who does that. Lol Does your Dh know how to shop to find the best deals too? If he would find a good deal it might cheer you some?
Ricky-I understand about the doctors and them thinking it's all in your head. I had that for yrs as well. Then I got a doctor that actually found out it was all to do with my back and I was diagnosed with Kyphosis. Still healing from surgery but at least I am healing. Well most days it seems that way. lol Some days though are murder to get through as people here can relate to. Do you have many flareups? I hope not. I hear they are very painful.

I am doing better, thank you. Hubby retired this week, so no more driving to work every day. So the pain isn`t as bad but now I`m itching. Started the day he quit work and hasn`t stopped since. It`s driving me crazy. Maybe if I send him back to work it`ll stop. lol
I`m sorry to hear everyone is having such a rough time. I have to believe that there will be better days ahead for all of us.
