  1. Never been to Greece. My top 3 destinations I haven't been yet are New Zealand, Greece and Italy. Maybe Japan too. I leave for Paris on June 4 (as long as no other volcano explodes!). Looking forward to it.
  2. Now you can see how the conversations evolve... I reposted them as attachments this time so you can see them. Greece was amazing... as was the schooner and the islands...
Cool about your job... You are very fortunate! When is it you are leaving for France?
Thank you for the reps too! You are quite the busy guy!
  3. One last message: I got into my career from Cegep, when I heard actuaries are really good at math, and make lots of money. Bingo! That sounds like a plan. But I lucked out with my current job, when I French company was looking for a bilingual person to work in their small Toronto office. Been there 8 years in August, and I love it.
  4. Ah, Greece! Too bad they're having so much trouble. Friends of mine just got married and were planning their honeymoon there, but changed their minds given all the trouble over there.
  5. Noooo! I could not see them, but I'm sure they were very, very funny.
  6. Really you could see them??? I do not understand this why some can and others cannot.
  7. Take me with you! I have good friends in Paris. I met them in Greece the summer before last. Was on small wooden schooner and toured several islands! It was wonderful! Anyhow we keep in touch almost daily and have an open invite... to visit with them. How did you get into the work you are doing? Regarding the conversations, most are not ongoing. I answer them usually within a day or so...!
Does answer your question? If not let me know! I will get you later!
  8. Re: hump
Re: conversations, I was referring to the sheer numbers of them you have on the go. Where do you find the time? I will be going to head office (Paris) for 1 week in early June. I know... tough life
  9. Re your Hump definition... I was going to answer with my last response but there is only so much room in a response...
"So after you go on top of the hump, you go down." Do you really want me to answer ...
  10. How do I follow the conversations... at the bottom of each note it says view conversation- I click on that and I respond to the note. Some times the notes turns into a detailed conversation and then I or the other person takes it to a PM. As you are aware, I love my privacy!
Re crunchie bites, If you find them cool, if not, I will get them somehow. I always get what I want somehow! How long will you be away for?
  11. Wow what a Friday night rep! I can tell your imagination has run dry.... for the week! :-(
I appreciate that you visited just the same!!! merci mon ami!
  12. Hump: def'n - a bump in the road. So after you go on top of the hump, you go down. Hence, it's downhill from hump day.
  13. How do you keep up with all those conversations? Won't be back to Heathrow anytime soon, but will be at Charles de Gaulle in 1 month. I'll keep my eyes open for those Crunchie bites. You never know...
  14. Interesting.... it is all down hill from here...? Everyone I Know says it is a quick hop to the weekend from hump day!
You were at Heathrow and you didn't even tell me before this afternoon???? I bet you will be back there soon enough!
  15. I do, do I? Is that all I do?
White lace and promises... Wasn't there a song by the Carpenters.... "we've only just begun" Look what you've done to me db!! I haven't thought of that song in decades....
  16. You must be a chiropractor, because you crack me up My lacey friend indeed (They were white)
  17. I knew you would enjoy them. They do not appeal or make sense to all.
Thanks for the rep my lacy friend... BTW what colour was the lace?
  18. Yes I recall now. I am very busy with work and sleeping little.... thanks for refreshing me... You have to be twisted to belong here.... lol
  19. The lace. I blamed it becoming undone for failing to climb the CN Tower under 20 minutes. You repped me saying "Sure, blame the lace". I'm still laughing about it.
  20. the lace.... humour me db....
Thanks for the rep about the lace, only I can't recall what it was about!
  21. I will answer you in a pm. I also listened to CKMF, and a bit of 96.9 which was the equivalent to 99.99 when I moved to Toronto. Catch you after!
  22. Yes, I did listen to CHOM, and listen to it when I'm there (although I also listen to AM690 for traffic reports). But I must admit, I grew up listening to CKMF 94, which was more into funk/soul. I still love that kind of music, just have not found a good station in Toronto. When I moved to Toronto, I settled on Mix99.9, but they got more and more into the hip-hop, and playing the current hit 5/6 times per day. That's when I switched to Q.

How long have you been in the GTA, and what brought you here?
  23. Yes sir, and you and I went to the same university ... lol How's that for a kindred spirit!
I only had an engineering/programming course downtown @ Sir George, though I think they called it Concordia and then the 2 campuses. No 6-49- Didn't think of it. Yes It was unbelievable and it was a beautiful weekend too!
You must listen to CHOM when you return to Mtl. l'espirit de Montreal!I can't believe that Too Tall is still there. He was on when I was in grade 11...Ciao for now!
  24. Great, a kindred spirit. I miss Montreal, but I think Toronto is a great city as well.
I went to Concordia university, spent the first year at Sir George downtown, but the last two at Loyola campus.
No traffic on a long weekend? Did you buy a 6-49 ticket when you got there?
  25. I am from there too! I miss it believe it or not! I am from Montreal West. Most of my family is still there along with friends who never left..... Was just there the long weekend. We were fortunate that there was no traffic coming or going. The first time I can remember. I knew there was a reason I gravitated towards you.. lol Will see you after!
  26. You're from Montreal too? I grew up in the 'burbs on the South Shore, near the Lafontaine tunnel. All my family still live there, I usually go back 3/4 times per year.
  27. It does take a good memory to remember the letters associated with the icons. There are a couple of icons I like but they do not work when I used the letters. does not =, when I use :wink : = a different icon.
Are you from Montreal? I do not mean to pry you with questions. Just curious. I am from Montreal!
  28. Nope, not in sales. I'm an actuary, work in the head office. Thanks for the rep as well . But typing emoticons will take lots of practice :lol)
  29. Everybody???
Are you in sales? Did you read the rep I gave you about the icons?
Interesting rep too! For you, n' young?
  30. Well, now that I got everybody curious, I guess I have to tell what I do. I work for an industry everyone loves to hate, but without which society could not function... the non-life insurance industry
