  1. , Hamlet was never my favourite, Ninna, but Julius Caesar certainly remains my ultimate play. When we were in Rome I of course had to have my picture taken at his statue, and I even bought a flower to place on the spot where he was said to have been murdered in the Forum. Although no one really knows the exact spot, I was happy with my choice...
    Ah loves dat man!!!
    Have a great weekend, Sweetheart!!
  2. .....I hope you're enjoying your day with your family. Our dinner was Friday, since our DD and her DH are just about to land in Mexico about now, for a week's vacation, and hubby is at Science North with our grandson. Jenny is fast asleep along my legs on the recliner and I'm fli##ing between the NFL games and Harry Potter......a perfect day!

  3. Have a most fantastic Thanksgiving!

    And I checked. Twice.

    There's no typos today. LOL.
  4. Lol....well, Ninna, at least I didn't make it public this time...I thought it was so funny, two mis-steps in a week. Honestly, I don't go around looking for stuff like that, but when it's that hilarious, I just have to tease you. I hope you know that I am not the grammar or spelling police, never have been, never will...but your little glitches are too cute!!!
    Have a lovely evening, Ninna...sweet dreams, Hon...Lynn
  5. omg. Second typo in a week? What would Freud say about THIS I wonder??? But, if you're gonna do it, go big or go home, right? Now I'm going to have a panic attack every time I write something. I will be painstakingly checking everything for spelling and grammar because apparently, the spelling and grammar police are out on patrol here in SC. LMAO. Thanks for pointing out the boo boo. It gave me a good chuckle too.
  6. "....I had adopted the habit of jiggling her legs."
    Lol!!! Sorry.....I can't help it...lol....you're too funny!!!~!~
  7. RE: Epic movie. This is gonna be a long post, so I will do it in two sections that follow each other because I can’t stay within the 1000 character limit (lol). I don’t wanna shorten my words today! Anyway, it can be hard to tell with movies and there's so much garbage being made these days too. My nearly nine year old found "Epic" funny and enjoyed it; my 12 year old though it was dumb and hated it. I didn't see anything that was too awful in it (characters don't smoke or drink or swear and have sex... lol!) but I suppose there are a couple of frightening scenes that might alarm a younger viewer. For example, when that mouse draws his fangs, I could see younger ones being a little taken aback by that. There's brief moments like that sprinkled throughout because it is a villain vs. hero saves the day type of film.
  8. If you're ever in doubt about the films, I ALWAYS check them out on www.imdb.com first before I agree to see it. That allows me to check the parent advisory and the trailer to decide if I can stomach my kids watching that. Also, a REALLY good website is https://www.commonsensemedia.org/. It's targeted 100% towards parents trying to figure out if a book, game or movie is suitable. They give you an age range for the media the child wants to view and helpful comments about what you as the parent can expect them to encounter. I LOVE that site! In the case of Epic, commomsensemedia rates it for age 6. But check out the site for yourself. Very helpful information. (It rates violence and scariness at a 3 out of 5 for that film too by the way). Definitely book those sites in your favourites! I use them ALL the time!
  9. Hi, Ninna!! You mentioned the movie, "Epic", that you watched with your kids...would that movie be suitable for a 6-year old? It's so hard to tell...it's rated "family" but who knows? He's not even allowed to watch "The Secret of Nimh" and I thought that would be a great movie for him! His Mom nixed it...sigh....
Thanks, Hon...it's so hard to find things he's allowed to watch...lol!!
    Take care, Sweetie!
  10. Lol.....good night, Ninna...I'll be sure to avoid you in the morning!

  11. What a tough situation for her....quite understandable of course, facing the loss of a spouse; I can't imagine a world without my hubby in it. If she feels the need to be with you now, heaven help you when she's finally really alone...that's going to be difficult for everyone. I hope there's a way to resolve all of this...it's certainly a tough place to be...for all concerned...best wishes, Ninna...
  12. I agree. MIL needs a new hobby other than dropping by unannounced. BUT--she is pretty needy right now. She's facing the impending death of her husband and she is scared because he is her everything and we've learned that if you try to push away or carve out space, she clings that much harder. Reminds me a little bit of a person who starts to drown and they end up drowning the person who tries to rescue them because they are so desperate that they push the rescuer under the water. Yeah. Feeling a little bit like that...and they've only lived at the new place for 3 days. LOL
  13. Oh! I just noticed! Thank you for the rep, Ninna!
  14. YOU are one smart cookie, Ninna. I guess I can learn a few things from the young...
Take good care, Sweetheart...and sweet dreams...
  15. Thanks for the rep! It's a pleasure to know you as well! Happy Sunday!!
  16. Hello, Ninna! Thank you for the rep, Hon! Happy day to you!
  17. Thanks for the prayers. You truly don't know how much that means!! <3
  18. Lol...thank you for the rep, Ninna...but it's so true! I mean....if I go yard-saling, I wouldn't think of bidding someone down on an item if it was reasonable! They probably need the money more than I do! So selfish wenches who try that on me don't get it. The item NOR my cooperation! Hmph. I'd rather give it away...

    Hope you're having a great summer, Hon!!!...Lynn
  19. Thank you, Ninna...I thought the pic was appropriate..
  20. Thank you for the rep, Ninna....yes, as much as we THINK someone else might do a better job, they really never do..."Better the devil you know.....", maybe?
