Matty's Mom,
I have never frozen them, but I don't see why they wouldn't work? Give it a try..the potato starch cost me 0.29 cents for a cup of it so it was very inexpensive. You can always substitute the eggs with an egg replacer, I have seen some around at health foods stores.
I come across gluten and dairy free recipes often so I will share then here for you

I've never frozen them, but if you treat them like pancakes and freeze them between sheets of parchment paper or waxed paper, then just take them out in the morning and they'll be ready when you get home!
Here are some great gluten as well as dairy-free sites!
http://www.themessychef.net/ Scroll down the right side for gf and dairy free recipes (many are combined in recipes)
http://www.lexieskitchen.com/ Love the look of this site!
http://cookitallergyfree.com/blog/
http://www.thesensitivepantry.com/
You'll find that many such sites have gluten AND dairy free recipes in the same recipe, since many people are sensitive to both.
That should keep you busy for a while! LOL!
Oh...and for an easy filling for crepes?
Fry ground beef in a big pan until no longer pink, dump in diced onions and continue to saute, then add a small jar of salsa (make sure it's GF)...thicken with parmessan cheese (I use quite a bit...again, make sure it's GF...sometimes the pre-grated ones are floured to prevent sticking).
Add some gf ketchup to sweeten it up a bit, and voila!
Manwich in a crepe!
And omg...is it good!!!!

I love Kraft! They list any allergens right in the ingredients very plainly! So its easy to see if you can or cant consume it! As well I found Great Value (Walmart) brand list any allergens as well.
If you all love ice cream as I do then Chapman's has taken the time to label all there gf ice cream GLUTEN FREE on the box! I was so happy when I saw this! As well some of the Hagen Dazs ice cream is gf...I had the vanilla almond one over the weekend Mmmmmm

Lynn that sounds horrific
I mean, no fries? no buns? I admire you
I wouldn't last a week.
So did you guys just become intolerant out of the blue? Or are you born with the allergy?

Soem fries are ok...such as New York Fries since there fresh cut and not coated with anything. Any fries that are fresh cut are ok. As for buns you can buy gluten free ones which taste pretty good.
Its hard at first but once you become aware of what to look for in ingredients it gets easier. Mind you going to a dinner party or traveling is always going to be hard but we cope I guess haha
I just became intolerant...I think it started a few years back but my Dr is a tool so....I had to self diagnose haha

Same here, Mle....it just happened about 2 years ago, and I was diagnosed with probable IBS. I say "probable" since there really isn't a confirming test, it's just that if one curls up into a ball with lower abdominal pain after eating, it's a first clue. Crohn's disease was ruled out by a colonoscopy. So...for the past 2 years, I watched what I ate to no avail and kept saying to my hubby when I was hit with pain....what the heck did I eat now?!! It seemed that the same foods could be fine one day and kick me in the stomach the next!
Doing much research on here, I FINALLY noticed some connections with IBS and gluten intolerance. I decided to try this way of eating, and even after a couple of days I noticed I wasn't in pain and discomfort anymore...no bloating, no water retention, no cramps (if you know what the worst menstrual cramps feel like, that's the way I felt after almost every meal). So, like VeeVee.....we're sticking with what works for us, and if I ever felt like it's all a big fluke, that encounter with those 'illegal' fries just confirmed it for me.
Like Vee said....some fries are fine (certainly the ones at home are fine) if we know they're fresh-cut (or at least not flour-coated...which incidently make them nice and crunchy), and are fried in a dedicated french-fry fryer.
It's a real learning curve, I tell ya!
So thank goodness there are people like VeeVee in the world to help us steer clear of the jagged reefs!
As for GF breads and buns...I've so far not had any success with liking them. I'm sure I'll find one I can tolerate, but for now, it just might be my breadmaker and a magic recipe! LOL!!!

Thanks so much fro this VeeVee..I have eaten gf for 4 years. I am also a veggy! So it makes to hard.
I found this great bakery:Harvest fresh Bakery 9301 bathurst st. unit 9-you can call and they will make whatever you want too-and then you can have tons--they also cater and do school lunches!
They have bread, bagels, pizza dough, cookies, b-day cakes, hotdogs and hotdog buns, hamburger buns etc.. AND nothing is frozen!
I have eaten my fair share of gf products--and wasted a lot of money too so this is great to have this thread!New mom October 2014!
