Patty, hi! Glad I stopped by to see what's growing - and your place looks amazing! Hope things are going well with you and the fam.
Does your area have garden visiting? I don't remember what it's called, but people go to one another's gardens to see them. Yours would be wonderful for others to see!

Patty!! yes, you are terribly critical of your beautiful yard, but sorry for the losses of the conifers (?) Your pots of basil are freakishly large leafed! My plants are puny ( like what you buy in the stores ) Oh and btw those 2 Clematis ARE identical, they are both lush and eye catching! Hope you get 5 days of straight sunshine, you've earned at least that.

Hi Natalka, I don't think we have "garden visits" in our area. I do know they have a community contest each year but I have not entered. I am a little afraid to let people know where I live. KWIM? It's like at Halloween I don't advertise because you are never sure who will come and decide to "trash" stuff. It has happened before. Sad but true. It's why I don't put anything in the front of the house. All my good pots and stuff are in the back.
I am not so much critical but I guess I have high hopes for certain things and when it doesn't turn out I am bummed lol Unfortunately this year it's the weather, one of the only things I can't control.

I finally got my cotoneaster dammeri that I've been watching at the superstore. It was marked down 75% off so I got it for $1.94
It's just a little shrub, I didn't want a huge one. Maybe I'll make my way up to Wallyworld tonight, see if they've marked down yet.

That's a whole lotta cotoneaster, Patty! Must be amazing in the fall
The little berries on mine are just green right now. I'll keep you posted.
Do the birds eat the berries?

The only pic. I could find but you can see the red in it. The sunny side turns red the shady side turns yellow.

little unassuming flower popped up from under the deck, had squeezed its way through the space between the boards, I asked DH what it was, he said it's a shooting star. I wonder where that came from?
