To all my SC friends, and to all who love Ethan... Thanks...

As of today, Ethan is back into the ICU... His airway is so swollen that the doctors had to put in a smaller tube than they would have for a baby his age...

Ethan had been struggling to breathe... the very mechanism required to live... And we, as his parents, stood by and watch helplessly... When we call upon for help, we were brushed aside callously for more than half a day... I was made to feel like I was kicking up a big fuss... So much for the best children's hospital eh...

Mere words will not be able to describe the horror and the torment of standing by helplessly, watching my only son struggling, with his eyes open wide, staring crazedly and wildly... begging for us to help him, to rescue him... It was like watching him drown...

The only comfort that I have now is that Ethan is heavily sedated and is given morphine... I can only hope that it means that he is no longer in any sort of pain or suffering...

Just the thought that I have brought this child into this world only to watch and let him suffer is enough to kill me...

Oh nooooo poor little guy! I've said a prayer for his speedy recovery. I know how it feels to watch helplessly as your child suffers . Woofy, I am thinking of you and Ethan, I hope everything goes well at the hospital and they give him the very best care. Sorry to hear that you were treated badly. But make sure you get some rest and sleep yourself for when Ethan comes home. He'll need lots of hugs and kisses from mommy . Please keep us posted on how he's doing. I am only a phone call away, if you still have it.

aww Woofy if you need an ear p'm and I 'll send my number and Fallen thanks for being there for Woofy ...I hope all is much better soon i feel your pain as I know what it is like to be unable to breathe and search with your eyes for someone to save you....rest assured once I was on morphine and pretty sedated I had no memory of what went on when I was on the ventilator...I felt no pain...I am with you in spirit {{hugs}}

Oh, Woofy....I'm so terribly sorry for what Ethan and you and your hubby are going through. As for hospital staff, just perservere, Hon! Don't let them intimidate you and brush you off. Just because they see children in distress doesn't mean it's easy for new parents and they'd better remember that and become more sensitive to you!!
You know Ethan and you both continue to be in my prayers....he's in the best place for him right now to get him back on the road to full recovery and a busy summer with his Mommy and Daddy!
