Having a newborn just wasn't enough for us lol, so we bought a house that we pretty much had to gut and make suitable to at least move into by the end of this month. I thought it would be fun to show our progress. I don't have before pictures because it was super gross lol, so we will start with photos in progress.

Holy wow!! Are you nuts??? My kids are fully self sufficient and I'm exhausted just looking at the pictures!
A new born baby and a reno at the same time? Girl, you are SO brave!!!
I don't have any memories of the first 3 months with my newborn--it's all a haze. LOL.
You got determination...and it's going to look great when you are done!

WOW!
I know it's hard now, but the sweat equity you're putting into your house will pay off big time in the future.
Try and take care of yourself, as well as your new baby.Check out my new life blog.

lol yeah I don't know which end is up right now, but this will all be totally worth it. We got a really good deal on the house because it needed this much work, and the property is crazy, the backyard is huge. It's also just a 20 minute walk from where i am now so I walk baby luke back and forth lol.

Anne, we did exactly that, but we had a little one about 15 months old, and I was pregnant with our second, at 6 months!!
We sold the house after we re-did the kitchen, lol.....good luck, and keep a sense of humour at all times!

What a nice sunny space. Congratulations on your new home and again on your little angel. I look at this differently. You can monitor the reno, do some if you have the energy, use it as an excuse to get away, use it as an excuse to take a break, use at as an in-your-face timeline. I think sometimes although I can only imagine all the work a little angel is sometimes why not another project. Somehow it always gets all done and later on you look back and say how did we get through that? With a plan, lots of love and patience and teamwork and little angel to build a beautiful kitchen for and share those mornings with messy hair, sleepy eyes and chubby little fingers trying to capture those Cheerios you can leasurely spend hours in your beautiful kitchen you built/planned together. It is great and I am certain your little angel will be in the photos during the progress, awesome baby pictures to look back on. Cannot wait to see more photos. Congratulations again.
