I forgot about the guy who put in our central air last week called me today and wanted a new check issued to him for $400.00 less than the original one!

My DH is GREAT at using up leftovers to make creative meals! Woot! Woot! To him and all who do. Just a reminder that using empty cereal bags to store fresh produce keeps them freshlonger.

I said no! Kids were bugging for pizza on Sunday for lunch. We had tons of leftovers so I made them eat those (I almost gave in too!!)

Before we buy any more "picture hanging " kits, I sorted through all the little screws, picture hangers, tape, hooks, nails, screws etc. Found quite a collection of things we can use and quite a collection of junk. I'm going to use old medications containers to hold various things and then we can find things Before we buy new. Even screws and plugs and things are expensive these days.

Sent DH an e-card for our eighth anniversary. It was free and saves on clutter as we're going through a fall purge these coming months. i still like the crayon drawings on paper though. Unfortunately, tonight it will be a whirlwind of trying to get dinner on the table and LO to bed after work.

I am not spending the 60 cents from today's can drive. I had spent my Sept. bank fee yesterday to get two items (one was reduced produce and the other a 12 can case of pop) in order to get through this heat (I'm out of budget $ for food purchases) so getting the fee built up by Sept. 30 is my priority.

Did a budget for October-limiting food to $100 as I anticipate other areas will need attention. I'll have to forego purchasing a new optical mouse or a notebook bag (I did look at the messenger bags/totes at Value Village yesterday but they are not the right size). Would love to get one more sheet set for $30 but I know I'll have to spend more if I find that flannel bedding I seem to have spent two fall seasons admiring/chasing without $ at Homesense. Need to purchase a gift too-not sure if that will be paid by cash or be a store e-gc through Air Miles redemption (I'll have to do a shop to get the AM points balance to the $20 level/190pts).

The credit card goal will have to roll over into 2017. That thought was deflating yesterday.

Spent time reorganizing my coupon album. Time to get serious about combining coups, price-matching, MIRs, and cash back systems.

I did this yesterday! I was having a bad day full of doctors appointments and the like and just felt like heading by little cesars for a pepperoni hot and ready which I think is $6-$7 but I went home and had leftovers instead.

We were invited out as a family yesterday. We saved money by eating lunch at home. We only had beverages at the restaurant while our friends had the Sunday buffet.

DH made us a yummy supper entirely of leftovers.
I bought 2 pks of 24 crayola crayons as part of a "white gift" that I will take to church to be distributed at Christmas. They were .74 each on clearAnce at Loblaws.

I saw an error on my grocery receipt on Tuesday. I was charged $11.99 each for two shrimp rings that were on sale for $8.99 at Sobeys. I went back tonight to get it sorted out. The manager has a different understanding of SCOP than me. I thought I would get one shrimp ring free, since it should have been $8.99 - max of $10 SCOP, but she insisted that it was the $11.99 - $10 SCOP = $1.99 for me to pay. Price adjusted the second item, which I agree with.

We bought $600.00 worth of our town's shopping bucks for $540.00 and they can be used in almost any store.
