I use the Excel by 8in1 Kittymalt hairball paste (seafood flavor), I know Pet Valu sells it and I think Petsmart does.

We've only ever had vets recommend regular, no scent, Vaseline - works great! But sometimes it's me who forgets to do it every few weeks. Kitties just eat it up - some like to lick it. Taffy doesn't, so I have to shove it in!

here's a cute story for you guys!!!

I was walking my newfie last week when I spotted a family coming back from the beach with a kitten in tow. I asked if it was there's and they said no. Just said that the little one started following them, leaving mum and the 2 other kittens... I asked about the mum's colour, knowing one was abandonned about 2 weeks ago (she comes and feed at my house, really sweat thing... comes inside like she owns the place...) and they identified her. So I asked if they would mind if I took the kitten in and said... please, please take him... we don't want a kitten and we have a long walk to get back to our house, he'll never find his mum again!!! So there you have it, I have a new kitten (and he's a sweetheart of a little thing) brought him home and it's as if he's been here all his life!

Sometimes I feel like he found me, like he wanted to survive so badly that he decided to go his own way to find a new home... it paid off... he did find a home

UPDATE!

My kitty's doing great!!! I'll try to post a picture later...(but not having high speed internet, it might be difficult!)

However, mummy cat and one of the other kitty's are hanging around my house... they are really great cats. baby cat is a bit timid, but well socialized (considering he's been left outside with his mum for about 2 months...) and I think mum is pregnant again... and this situation is breaking my heart... they are really beautiful cats and well behaved...and I'll admit it's breaking my heart considering winter is fast approaching. I already have 2 cats and a big dog... so I can't take them in permenantly

so, anyone in the Montreal, laval, laurentian or lanaudiere area in Quebec... want to adopt??? if so, please pm me ... I'll try to take pictures of them and post...

This morning our little cat Zoey was drinking water out of the dogs dish, so I decided to get her her own water (our cats don't drink out of dishes they have their own cups, plus they only drink brita water lol, the dog also only drinks brita water but he has no problem with the dog bowl). then she decided she didn';t want the water, but the dog only had a little bit of food left, so he just kept looking at me. I gave him food then the cat walked up and started eating it. So yeah I guess the cats need food too lol but the dog just sat back and watched her eat it was so cute!

Cats are very peculier with their drinking habits. Since they're originally from the desert they don't drink that much, but they store water in their bodies for a long time. They mostly got their water from the animals they ate (which is why wet food is very important to their diets). Anyways, I digress, because of this, cats are also more inclined to drink from a variety of water sources over just the one water dish. This is why my kitty drinks from *every* water glass I get to drink. Anyways, so I move her bowl around so that she'll go back to that instead of my cup!

oh lekate that's a very interesting piece of information... lol I even keep a glass of water for them upstairs in my bathroom and put fresh water in it every night before bed lol. but I didn't know where cats originated from, guess that would explain why they love sleeping in the sun so much.

Oliver (Ollie) just finished licking all the pasta sauce leftover in the bottom of my bowl lol (always thought it was gross when animals did that but he's so cute I will make an exception). Plus this morning when I took the dog out he was on the roof to our back porch and started meowing at me so i climbled up and pet him.... but mom says he does that because he wants to make sure you know he's there and will wait for him to get down and come inside.
