Jelly (my avatar pic) loves erasers. No eraser is safe from his mauling if is left out even for a moment. Within seconds it's dripping wet with cat saliva and full of tooth punctures.

I, or rather, Quincy cat has a toy - essentially a strip of flannel on a stick. The little brat enjoys trying to catch it (I send it flying around the room, above his head to make him jump). When he does catch it, he quickly wraps the darn thing around his neck, paws & tail, chewing the end of it.

Needless to say, I keep it hidden in a secret place, out of his reach.

Imagine my surprise when one day I wake up to the little brat happily bringing me the stick, dragging the ribbon behind him, wanting to play.

Sometimes I wish I could have a higher IQ than the roomies.

So today I found Jelly hanging out of a 24pk box so I had to take a pic



I then stuck the camera inside and this is what I captured

We had to put down one of our cats yesterday. Scotia, my big grey furball. She was so sick, it came on suddenly. She was older and had a bad heart apparently. When she couldn't even sit up or eat or drink we took her in. Everything was just shutting down. She was such a sweetheart. We have her brother and they always slept cuddled up together. He's been walking around looking for her. He doesn't cuddle with our other cats but maybe he'll try to now.

I'm sorry to hear about your kitty, it is hard on you and must be really hard on her brother too, we can't explain to them what happened......

BC Gal, though it's SO cute - and the snuggling is so nice - it sure wouldn't have been if that cat had turned in a second and scratched or bitten her - which can happen with the most seemingly docile cat.
About two months before our son was born, we gave away our two cats (which was very hard to do!), because we just didn't want to take any chances.
