I only have two and really want to get a third. Two boy cats, plus a male dog, and a little boy... I need some more female energy in the house!

I have 3! If I get a 4th, then I'm never ever ever going to marry and will just enjoy the rest of my life as a crazy cat lady. That sounds rather appealing actually! Except I am a man, so crazy cat ladyman!

Take it from someone who currently has four cats... it's too many! I love them all dearly, but with one being very old and requires extra attention, one being a passive-aggressive b*tch, well... it's draining. My two fellas are nice and cheery and cuddly, but the fiance's are a lot more work....
And that makes me sound like a bad stepmom or something. It just so happens that his cats require a lot more hands on than mine.

Oh, I always want more, and we've had more - but two is definitely the most 'doable', that's for sure.
I was SO SO SO tempted last weekend - SPCA had a special cat day, $10 to adopt, when it's regular $190, and it included everything it would normally (neuter/spay, shots, insurance, etc.).
Husband said no. Period.
Now, I'm not a doormat who goes along with only what he says, but I'm LUCKY he allows me cats at all - he doesn't like them (well, now he does after all these years, but still won't admit it!).
The two we have are great, because frankly they are amazing kitties, and that's what counts after all.
