I hate to say it, but this site is really starting to leave a bad taste in my mouth I've been scammed so many times and trying to do a good deed just winds up getting you negative feedback. There really needs to be a better system. Something like a paypal verification that someone can monitor or even having to register your home address. It sucks to even suggest that, but there are just so many dishonest people here and they just keep coming back and making fools of us all.

Well by trading you are giving an address.
We do have an IP verification system that alerts me if someone uses the same IP but that is easily changed. Would you send your drivers license for ID verification to just someone on the internet?

Sadly, many of the scammers can be avoided if people check this thread and don't do trades that seem "off" without at least having the other person send first (high value trades with newbies etc).
Several people who traded with lidiasisi told me that they knew it was Karell Provost back again but traded with her anyway because she was offering coupons they wanted - by leaving her positives, they made the account look legit so no one checked the blacklist for her

Not all newbies will know where to start. I found out about this thread when I was in my 10th trade and being paranoid... I dont trade as much now. I just went by the trade rating in the beginning.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I recently started a coupon train and mailed it out almost 2 weeks ago now. I am in BC and the first rider on the train lives in Newfoundland. She updated the thread last Monday to say she hadn't received it yet but has not updated the thread since or replied to any of my PMs despite her being online numerous times since then, even posting on other threads. My two main questions are: Does 2 weeks seem like a long time for an envie to make it across the country? and If she is choosing to ignore my requests on the thread, my posts to her wall as well as my PMs to her, is this grounds to give her a negative trade rating? Thanks in advance!

And know how big scammer she is and I am not the only victim. It's not easy to go through & learn everything in a short time anywhere. But I learned my lesson & try to avoid trades as much as possible from now on.

My experience with mailing stuff to Newfoundland from Vancouver is that it can take 1-2 weeks. If you've mailed out from a small town in BC then add another day or two. If you mailed out about a couple of weeks ago then it probably got caught in the Easter log jam at Canada Post. I had a lot of stuff coming and going around then and there were big delays because of the four days without mail service over the extra long weekend. I'd say give it at least another week.

As for no responses maybe she thought the update on the thread one week ago was sufficient for now. But I would think that if you've committed to participate in a train then you should be ready to spend even one minute just giving a quick and simple response when asked to. My two cents.

Don't let one bad experience (or even a few like some of us have had) ruin your trading experience. For the most part trading is awsome and a great way to save even more money by couponing. I'd never have saved so much money and continue to if it wasn't for trading.
