Miaow, I actually made my own thickness measurerer out of cardboard lol .5 cm is regular letter mail, 2cm and under is oversized letter mail up to 500g. I just measured it all out on a piece of card board and cut the hole out with a box cutter and voila. I did this shortly after paying more to mail an envelope then a giant 1kg box a few days prior, I had no choice but to mail it out, so I had to pay. I complained and they did absolutely nothing about it -.- weather I was wrong and it should have been small packets, an envelope should not cost anywhere near the same to mail as a large box. But I learned its best to get everything as flat as possible. If the thickness is more then 2cm, put it in a bigger envelope. The size of the envelope doesn't really matter with oversized mail, it's weight and thickness.

That's a great idea Pink! And yes, very true, better to size up on the envelope than cram it into a smaller one and have it be super thick!

Anyone else waiting for a trade from tammy7769? Because she made our first trade right, i thought of giving her one more chance and mailed my end of the trade around Apr 4th and now she is offline since Apr 18th, not respodning to PMs.

I set up a trade with her on Apr 18, 2012. Was a little nervous about it, on account of her previous experiences- but I figured I'd try it since everyone deserves a second chance. I'm still hopefully that it's in the mail. I put it in the trader tracking thread just so if others were looking they might know... I'll keep you posted.

Ok I pmed Sally and she said to post here. That you all might be able to help.. I did a trade with namask2011 from Bradford, On. When sc got hack or whatever happened and things got moved my emails didn't seem to come with or something else. I would love to give her a rating but can't find the email or her under the member list. I don't know if I am reading the nic name right it could either be an "n" or "h" but searched both and nothing.
I don't like not giving a rating and so far she has not posted on my wall wondering why I have not.. So if anyone knows of her or another way I could try to find her would be great..
Thank You

question:
is it common procedure that if you don't receive your end of the trade to ask if your trader will try to replace it?
i've waited over a month and pm'd my trader, asking if she would be willing to replace it...i am not even looking for another of the original coupon (which was an FPC oasis)....i would be happy even with some stamps...i just don't wanna lose out completely from this trade; i also don't want to leave a negative rating as i am almost sure that it is Canada Posts' negligence and not my traders'
any input would be appreciated

Yes, most traders will either send back what they got from you or a replacement - some people are not always happy with the replacement since coupons have been used etc, but just work together to resolve the trade

i am so angry right now. i was on a traditional train, and the next rider in line claims i put in a bunch of coupons that werent allowed in the stated rules. as i do a lot of these types of trains, i cant dispute this, it could have happened. i have to stress, i never give out crap coupons, i have a great collection, and i feel i am always very generous. now the conductor is berating me in the thread, and threatening me with a negative rating! i am more than upset. she says i havent tried to fix this, but i havent received a single PM from her about it, jstu ranting in the train thread. i also run trains, and when i have come across issues, i have dealt with them privately, and given opportunity to rectify the proble . am i just old fashioned? or is she being excessive?

I would definitely deal with it privately and give you a chance to fix the situation if possible. You're not over reacting, I'd be frustrated as well, esp with a threat of negative fb

So I open an envy today from a trad. train (the one that goes from person to person) and oMG was somebody dumpster diving or what....totally ticked off. There is not 1 coupon that I would consider taking even for a trade. 1/2 the envie is full of dog/meds and the other 1/2 is total crap.....how do you rate something like this. Do you email the conductor, do you post in the thread along with your rec'd, mailed, ins & outs....It also has a hefty boarding pass which makes me even angrier......bad day continues.
I keep saying to myself....reallyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.2019 is the year that we continue to save before we buy!!!
